The Official Trump Administration Grift, Graft and Corruption Thread

Given that there are so many instances and example and I anticipate many more over the next four years, I think it it might be good to track them in one thread. Whether it is conflicts of interest, pay for play, corruption, influence peddling, pardoning or dropping charges on those accused or convicted of corruption, profiting from the office…put it all here. With the whole-sale dismantling or neutering of many watchdog agencies/boards/councils set up to provide an independent system of checks and balances and protect whistle-blowers, this has become so blatent and unapologetic, it seems as if the administration is thumbing their nose at us and daring anyone to speak up. If they do, they will almost certainly become a target.

I’ll start with something pretty mild compared to what has gone on so far (such as the case with Eric Adams).

Tom Homan, Trump’s “Border Czar” has financial ties to a large private prison corporation which will benefit from contracts to incarcerate deportees.

I am sure you think there was a point in there somewhere, but you failed to show anything. $5000 for two years work as opposed to Hunter's Burisma Board paychecks for absolutely no performance of tasks. Hypocrite much there Coyote?

How much has Homan been paid after he was put in charge of the Border? Who makes the decisions on those contracts? It's probably the Bureau of Prisons which he has nothing to do with.

That's the only one I asked bout. Holman did a $5,000 consulting job for this company several years ago. This was your poster child for Grift, Graft and Corruption. I was simply asking how that is any of Grift, Graft or Corruption.

Why? Before he became the border czar should have no impact on him doing the current job. You failed to produce any relevance, which is par for the course for your limited intellect.

Reasonable point, perhaps that was the wrong choice to start the thread with since it isn’t outright corruption. However it isn’t the only issue with Homan. He runs a consulting company that prides itself in securing government contracts for private entities and a close working relationship with DHS, DoD and DoJ and has secured millions of dollars for his clients from these contracts. Serious conflicts of interest there.

Given that tariff policy changes occur so frequently, and cause wild swings both up and down, would it surprise me if there was some insider trading going on? No.

Oops…nope…when he leaves office it will be donated to (buzzer goes off) his presidential library! Presumably he will then continue to use it in a private capacity since I doubt the library is going to actually house it.
