The problem is Democrats won't clarify who the wealthy are, as a result everyone will be taxed more. Virginia is a prime example. If you're not on welfare...you must be wealthy.

Regarding people not having their needs met for the last 20 years....get a fricken job.

Not to mention that democrats only want to tax the super wealthy, but raise prices up on everyone else through many things which are not technically "taxes". They just legislate all kinds of prices higher.

There are many ways they do this. Another two are green energy legislation and forcing labor rates higher, all of which filter down to higher prices for everyone.

The only way this will work is by shared concession - cut some spending, increase some taxes. Everyone gives up some, there is no other political means here, because if you don't do that, if you don't have bi-partisan buy in then this is going nowhere.

I get nothing from the government, and I want nothing from them. I shouldn't be charged to pay for others who refuse to support themselves. The government budget needs slashed, starting first with all of the absurd give aways to foreign countries.

I have no problem with shared public services, if that's all we needed to pay for all of our taxes could be cut by 40% and still pay down the debt.

An excellent example of what will happen if the Democrats get control of all three houses is Virginia. The candidate for governor, Abigail Spanberger, ran as a "moderate" then turned around and hit the Virginians with a huge number of taxes.
As to taxing the rich, the Scandinavian nations don't heavily tax the rich, their stated reasons were that heavily taxing the rich would stifle innovation. An example of stifling the rich are Marxist nations. They have to steal technology from the western tech companies, then adapt it. If a person has a great idea for an invention. A financial incentive significantly propels his/her ambition.

She hasn't hit anybody with anything yet. They are all proposals waiting for the legislature to act or not act on them.

Reason to fire workers is not paying taxes on high profits. Reason to fire workers is to increase profit.
Reason to raise prices is not paying taxes on high profits. Reason to raise prices is to increase profits.

Business owners don't need tax rate reasons to have full incentives to increase profits. Duh. If you've ever ran a business you would damn well know that.

In fact higher marginal taxes encourage business investment, because cashing out means paying more taxes.
