The NBA is dying

No. Good goalie can win you games. 0-0 is the same as 3-3.

MLB used to be OK with shutout pitching? Or The Steel curtain NFL.
I understand the need for a goalie in hockey....but soccer needs to get rid of the goalie because all they do is prevent any excitement that would have been possible with fast-break opportunities.

The offsides rule kills so many good chances. More than goalies probably?

This is how profoundly meaningful these supposedly low scoring games are to people! 13 years apart

Just watch

It's dying? Seriously?

LOL.

I'm definitely weening myself off the game! IMO, it's already unwatchable! I've already had negatve feelings about the league after The Sacramento Kings were robbed in favor of the Lakers! The league has exponentially lost their fundamentals over the years & as an oldster, the game has just gotten ugly! Traveling is barely called when egregious done all alone! :dunno:

But in this case....the product has been turned political.

The left politicizes everything.

When they started taking a knee.....they lost a large portion of their fans.
You politicized this. How many NBA players took a knee? And you lost your shit. Better to take a knee during the National Anthem than storm the capitol.

Nobody stormed the Capitol.

Anyone with two synapses to rub together could see that storming the Capital wouldn't result in zero fires, zero dead cops, and especially zero dead (or even injured) members of congress. Only people that died in that red-flag operation were unarmed protesters, you ignorant ass.

Clearly this is a byproduct of Nancy Pelosi providing you with a fake story that fulfills your media generated fantasies.

Yes, th NBA is dying. I know almost no one who even tunes in 1 minute of regular season? I know I won't.

They don't care, no hustle, refs are fixing games, desired playoff teams given preferential treatments on TV and league refs.

But when playoffs come along (right after NCAABB) I jump in to gamble as I have no other life going. Sad, yes.

Since replay and wall to wall cameras, there seems to be less fixing? Yes Silly bozo is wrong usually. On BBALL, less wrong perhaps?

I liked INDY & OKC last year before they were trending in the dirty LW media. I am always out front as a Supreme_Leader. You may have seen my work?

Have no idea if INDY can score 120 on OKC defense?

Also can OKC score on INDY? Probably as even NY got some points.

Crap, I thought game 1 was tonight? THURS? WTH?

Foud this. INDY has a chance? Sealy wint like? As they are DET rival?

3-point shooting
If you’re going to win in today’s NBA, you must be able to make 3-pointers.

That doesn’t mean firing up 50 shots from downtown, like the Boston Celtics. It means cashing in the long-range looks that you do get. Neither side is overly aggressive from beyond the arc, but the Pacers have been the better shooting team from the perimeter in the postseason.

Oklahoma City is shooting 36.6% on the year, with that success slipping to 33.6% in the playoffs. It’s averaging 12.6 made triples in the postseason.

The Thunder did improve versus Minnesota in the Western Conference finals (37.6% for 12.8 3PMs), but that still comes up short when compared to the Pacers’ consistency from distance.

Indiana is the fifth-most accurate team in the NBA from 3-point range this season (37.3%) and leads all playoff teams with a 40.1% clip from downtown, manifesting into 13.4 triples per postseason contests.

Several of the Pacers are shooting 40% or better from outside during the tournament, thanks to quick ball movement routinely creating space for shooters on the perimeter. While OKC may be generating more “wide open” 3-point attempts (no defender within six feet or more), Indiana is making those clean looks more often (43.2%).

And you are killing each other. Killing each other. Killing each other. Killing each other. Insurrections. Just reminding you. Soon another terrorist will some people. Where will it be? Vegas may take odds. Well, the city itself is Prog you know.
