The Most Ignorant Line in the History of Man

"if you've got a business—you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

spoken by someone who clearly never built anything.

"mission accomplished"

All right. Let's go with that. Maybe if I talk like Obama you idiots will finally get it.

If you have a job today, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to get a job. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a job—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.

So you damn sure can pay "a little bit more."

See how that works?

G....

I'm pretty sure that you are trying to argue the over-arching philosophy that liberals have versus conservatives when it comes to the commons and how it ought to be paid for.

You are not accusing Obama of telling business owners that they have not been pivotal in making their businesses successful.....are you?

I am accusing Obama of class warfare populism. I think I have stated that quite plainly several times. And yes, I am of the belief that EVERYONE should pay for the commons. We should all have some skin in the game. The system has broken down and we have become a nation of "gimme gimme gimme, and make that guy over there pay for it, or borrow it from China."

We all pay for the commons. Those who use it more, pay more. Those with more to protect....pay more for defense. Those who fly more, pay more to keep the FAA going. Those who benefit more from safe, reliable roads and bridges pay more. It's known as a progressive tax system. It basically works.

Obama says we're all in this together- that's divisive.

Pubs take it out of context, change the meaning to insult business, a tidal wave of bs...NOT divisive!

Hater dupes are just amazing. And this is just one of thousands of such hateful, divisive bs propaganda. A disgrace.

Try this on for size. This is 100 times worse not worried about the man suspected of killing nearly 3000 citizens.
Let me help you out some more, even though it is futile with someone as closed-minded as you.
"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror." --interview with CBS News' Katie Couric, Sept. 6, 2006

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." --Greece, N.Y., May 24, 2005
"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." --State of the Union Address, Jan. 28, 2003, making a claim that administration officials knew at the time to be false

Had enough or shall I beat the hell out of you for making a stupid comment and posted it on here like you did.
Nah! here have some more.
"Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed." --speaking underneath a "Mission Accomplished" banner aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, May 1, 2003
"We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories ... And we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong, we found them." --Washington, D.C., May 30, 2003

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator." --Washington, D.C., Dec. 19, 2000
"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." --to FEMA director Michael Brown, who resigned 10 days later amid criticism over his handling of the Hurricane Katrina debacle, Mobile, Ala., Sept. 2, 2005
How insanely stupid of you to make a statement you have no idea of what you are trying to say.

You have a terrible memory or you just have hatred in your soul.

Wow, major league deflection there.

So everything must be compared to Bush's war, then?

.

We all pay for the commons. Those who use it more, pay more.

We already have a progressive tax structure.

Yes. We do. It isn't sufficient, though.

I know you will agree that the wealth gap that we have is not healthy. Stagnant wages for 20+ years is not a good thing.

Idiot. That was clearly a counter to the claim made in the OP.

Earmuffs.

Apparently when liberals cannot disprove something the response must be "But BOOSH LIED US INTO WAR!" We see that a lot here.

That is not caused by too low taxes on the rich. You are trying to cure the symptom instead of the disease, and therefore you will not cure the disease. You will succeed in punishing the innocent, though. Well done!

A man breaks into my house and steals my stuff. He is given police protection while he robs me blind.

The Democratic "solution" to this problem is to make everyone who lives in a bigger house than me pay more taxes, and then partly reimburse me.

Leave it to the pseudo-cons to denigrate the unbelievable American system we've built to try and score some cheap political points with the low information voters.

You dont get it. It is Obama & Co who are denigrating the system, denigrating the tremendous hard work and sacrifice of entrepreneurs like Carnegie, Ford, Gates, etc etc who built this economy and the prosperity it has produced.

What does Gates think about the comments? Have you any idea?

Yes. Gates understands he didn't build Microsoft and is about to write the US Treasury a check for 99% of his wealth.

It is partially caused by too low taxes....and too many loopholes....regarding the rich. The incentive to reinvest funds into the economy is no longer present.

Shit....allowing people to be paid in stock options ALONE has made this problem worse than it needs to be. Why stop FICA at 106k? If joe Scmoe pays FICA on 100% of his income, so should his boss.

These measures won't punish the innocent.....they will relieve the innocent from bearing too much of the burden.....in terms of the percentage of their income that goes toward the commons.

It's easy to take a statement like that, standing alone, seem like something it was never intended to represent. But when the full context is revealed, so is the truth.

Here is the quote in its full context"

"Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that [the roads and bridges]. Somebody else made that happen."

Some folks might think you don't know what the phuck you're talking about. But, hey, I know you must not have done due diligence and checked that out properly, right? You wouldn't try to mislead others on purpose now, would you?

You are trying to mislead, why is that okay.

You are in error!

I have no reason to mislead, would not benefit from misleading anyone on here and I could really give a rats blue ass about gaining some meaningless thing by misdirection on a freakin' message board. Why is your inappropriate assumption without any foundation laid to support your fantasy OK?

Your "too low taxes and too many loopholes" claims are really the same thing ... a demand that our gov't confiscate a greater share of the wealth of some Americans and the "you didn't build that" claim was a transparent attempt to justify that confiscation but infrastructure isn't where most of the money goes. It goes to an ever-growing and increasingly-demanding segment of our society which finds the gov't teat far too juicy and a political party which finds class warfare to be their winning ticket at the polls.

That is what he meant, your spin is a lie.

And even if it is roads and bridges that you claim, everyone did build that because public money, funded by private individuals did pay for it with taxes.

I also have no idea why you need to lie on a message board.

If you wish to belabor that stupidity...sobeit!

You're a Bleeding Fool who is incapable of admitting error. My only error was initially omitting the Latin notation sic at the closing bracket; [the roads and bridges, sic]. But you probably wouldn't have understood that either.

So believe what you want to Bubba, 'cause there ain't no way you will ever muster up the intellectual honesty to admit there is any other way to construe those few sentences other than the way your faction wishes to discredit the other faction. Good luck in your tribal endeavors.

Learn to diagram sentences. He didn't say "those" [bridges and roads]. He said "that" [business].
