What "original" provocation are you referring to?
I can guess, but it would be best if you articulated it.
Where did I say "original"? I didn't, so why are you asking to me to explain something I never said?
You likely meant to say "preceding" and there are many to choose from but this is the key.
Briefly, I have things to do this evening, in 1948 villages on the outskirts of what is (today) the "Gaza Strip" were ethnically cleansed of the Arab population, by the Israelis. Entire populations (thousands) were told - at gunpoint - to "go to Gaza" and their homes were demolished/blown up.
Gaza - back then - was a wonderful ancient place, where explorers and travelers would visit and hang out with Jews, Arabs, Christians, chatting, sipping wine, eating food together - no hostility.
Following that the villages were taken over by "settlers" (don't you love that word) and
Jewish only settlements were built and farms and natural resources (creeks, streams, wells, orchards) taken over by Jewish communities. Then the villages were renamed, ancient Arab names were erased and new Jewish chosen names replaced them - this is all part of the erasure process.
Meanwhile the evicted Arabs - in Gaza - became refugees, fully aware their homes and land had been stolen yet unable to seek redress. Over time those Arabs had children and their children had children all of this taking place in the Gaza Strip which by then had become a huge refugee camp.
On Oct 7th many of the "Kibbutz" that were overrun by invading Hamas fighter were in fact those
very same villages, the descendants of the original inhabitants came back to attack the occupiers who had stolen their homes and villages, destroyed families and erased history.
Over the seventy years that the Arabs and their descendants had been confined to the Gaza Strip, in poverty, no money, living off pittance from the UN those Arabs watched, they watched the Jews grow their presence, erase Arab history and exploit Arab farms and assets and they did so from the vantage point of Gaza.
They looked over the wall, over the barbed wire, razor wire at the the joyful Jews living the life, building their fancy homes with money from the Israeli government even having open air music festivals. Joyful Jews, the "chosen people" living it up, drinking, drugging, dancing while they and their families lived in squalor.
Some of them snapped, some of them said "enough is enough" and they fought back and that was what happened on Oct 7th. This is never reported by our news, never reported by our newspapers and so ordinary decent people are unaware and instead see Oct 7th as an attack without logic, reason and so they hate the Arabs, they hate Hamas and that's all by design and part of the lies managed by the Zionist regime and the emasculated US government.
If you'd like more, like village names, dates etc please ask and I will give you that - that you do not know any of this should tell you
something.
