There was a time when the U.S. military had the Holy Bible as the only book to read at certain times while being in training. And there was a time in the U.S. military that all forms of 'contraband' was prohibited.
There was time when men, even though they were 'jerks', led the military. And there was a time when females were not allowed to fight as the men did, in the U.S. Military.
Today, American men allow the women of America to fight and be killed by enemy hands the same way the men fight and battle for National Security. But there was a time when the men preferred to keep the women safe over having them fight a man's battle.
There was a time in U.S. Military that skirts were not allowed on Military grounds, this for the protection of the skirt wearers, of course. And if for some reason a secretary needed to be on the grounds, she would be very cautious and discreet about how many men she was seen by doing her business. And all this for National Security reasons, not personal.
There was a time in U.S. Military that did not allow 'homo' sexual men to join, and for one reason. The men who engages in anal sexuality are less testosterone filled than their hetero male counterparts. And testosterone is one of the key ingredients in the 'fight or flight' scenario of war.
But today's U.S. Military has changed. Tattoos which were once NOT allowed are now Allowed. Sexuality, which was once NOT allowed has become allowed and practiced on the training grounds. Women, who were once not allowed, are now taking their male soldier counterparts into court over rape.
There was a time in U.S. Military that the opinion of the Woman was not heard by commanding officers since the woman's duty was to tend the home rather than tend the war field. But today it is not so.
Today, we have women demanding and receiving the same Military rights as the males.
Today, we see transgendered men entering into Military.
Today, we see an increase of sexual intercourse on Military grounds.
But today, still, there are certain branches which the women are not suited for. Navy Seals has seen their share of women who have called quits. And if a woman should be able to pass the test of becoming a Navy Seal, then she would have to continue to prove her worth as a Navy Seal until she leaves Military. Which would make her a very strong female.
There was a time in U.S. Military when skirts and dresses were the expected attire for women. This has also changed.
For the Nation of the United States to be defended by women, is a modern concept being tried and tested to see how it may fare.
