I was being facetious, which I thought was rather obvious, and mocking all of those, many of this board, who decry progressive taxation and social services as some dangerous threat that's going to destroy the country and turn us into the USSR. Those who think higher taxes on the wealthy to create publicly provided medicine, no different than any of the services I listed, is dangerous socialism are who I'm aping.
I do recognize the value of social services, which is why I appreciate libraries, firefighters, paved roads, and universal healthcare. They all involve collective taxation to provide a better service for the community as a whole.
Why don't you get off your ass, go out and make a living instead of expecting ME to pay for your healthcare. I earned it...YOU didn't...and if you can't afford it then that should be an incentive to better YOUR OWN situation instead of being a lazy ass and sucking up MY MONEY.
and speaking of public education....my kids are in private schools...enough said there.
