There's no need to discuss reality. Reality is what it is. I'm sure you'd like to single out white people but that's not objective. What I said is objective.
 
The Story was carelessly invented and so it has caused enough Christians to feel they need to defend it.

Whatever the intent of the story was, it was lost because it didn't send any clear message. Had the writer shown the poor or lazy man with a basket full of apples, all the ambiguity wouldn't have been created.

Instead, it lt failed to send the message of any American's old reliable message of the poor being lazy.

But it didn't fail to send a message on how meanspirited Christians need to be. And then it became an invitation to bring up the god's apparent message of the rich man or a camel getting through the eye of a needle.

And so we have 3 pages already of Christians trying to apologize for being grinches.
