Sure you do. For example, if the Feds didn't step in to fix inflation, we'd be forever fucked. Or it would take a lot of pain before it corrected itself. And for some, under the "let the free market decide" way, would be forever fucked. Like poor people.

If the Republicans benefit the rich so much then how come all these Billionaires and Limousine Liberals all support the filthy ass Democrats? For the last several elections the Billionaires, Mega Rich and Wall Street have given more campaign money to the filthy Democrats than to the Republicans.
The answer is simple. It is not about taxation. Rich people can skirt the tax laws and the tax burden is peanuts compared to the money they make with the filthy Democrat's agenda of globalization. They also benefit from the tax money that the filthy Democrats throw their way. Everything from subsidies to incentives to bailouts. Just remember how the rich benefited from The Worthless Negro's Wall Street bail out?
