We definitely have totally different experiences. Honestly, much of it has to do with where you live. Where I live, if a person is a successful professional, they are far more likely to be a Republican. Remember, Republicans are supposedly the party of the "rich". They gained that reputation because if you drove through virtually any upper middle to upper class neighborhood, it was heavily Republican. That has shifted slightly due to the influx of successful Democrats coming from the Northeast. In fact, you can just about pick out all the implants by the signs in their front yards during political seasons. Successful folks here still lean heavily Republican and my hope is that these successful implants will be smart enough to recognize that it is the the policies they supported in their former states and cities are exactly why they chose to leave. The fear I have is that the old adage "one apple spoils the whole barrel" could come to fruition. Eventually, we would all run out of places to run.
