The Last Days of the Iranian Regime

We are not going to wait on those terrorist bastards. :nono:
We already are. This started in Feb. If they are wasting time until they can secure their enriched uranium, and we aren't going to leave until we get their uranium, how long can this endeavor be stretched out?
We are the worlds oil producer. We aren't hampered by the oil blockade. Why are we not seeing the price of gas continuing to go down here? We aren't tethered to global crude. Why are we tethered to the price of global crude?

In shale country we have an oil company that is "appreciative" enough to buy our little country store and significantly lowered our gas price. It was great at first. It still is, but the word got out and now there are waiting lines. And the company is raking in the dough. There is no sacrifice on their part. Why not a country wide adoption of that and kill two birds with one stone? Trump delivers on a promise while kicking Iran's ass. That would be America first, not the, as soon as I get done here approach we have now.

So you put them on the same level.
This shows how sick, how warped, how twisted your world view is.
Have either side accomplished victory? Victory is not possible for either side.

I disagree, six months is a big chunk out of four years, and this should have been done back in 2010.

All of these economic issues you name are the result of the war and if you support what Trump is doing in Iran, why would you think these conditions will still exist in six months?

The US is scheduled to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, and that should relieve price pressures from the oil shortage, and with the US continuing to increase both economic pressure on the ayatollahs, the regime should fall well before six months.
I agree with everything you said, except the plenty of time part. And the pressure on the ayatollahs. Trump should be working with the citizens to take back their country, not with the next hostile regime. I hope Trump can wrap this up in time to make a positive impact here before the midterms, but I am beginning to worry...

Iran was ready to start making major moves with conventional missiles while getting close to a dozen nukes to go on them soon.
Now China has shipped them 5 of their knockoff C-5 planes full of stuff. We'll see how this goes.
I wouldn't bet against there being RPGs and drones in there.
Yes

Yeah ....who thought this wouldn't be a problem?

Technically, this was all the UK's doing--- you know, the same people who have refused to lift a finger now to help us. 118 years ago, a British geologist discovered oil in Persia, and the UK set up a company between the UK and Iran for extracting the oil, but apparently, they gave Iran too much power while similarly starving them of proceeds only giving them 16% cut for their oil, and so Iran finally got pissed off and decided to take over the oil production 100% themselves.

MISTAKE ONE was in letting them control the production, or even understand the production.

MISTAKE TWO was in not giving them an equitable enough share to satisfy them.

From this began years of battle with Iran putting in their own people and the UK and the USA repeatedly trying to install someone more friendly to us. And here we are all these years later still battling the issue as the two sides have just drifted farther and farther apart.

This never should have been left in the hands of the Persians, basing the #1 vital global commodity whose greatest concentration is in the hands of a bunch of tent-dwelling camel-flea bitten mullahs bowing to a leader whose very religion is based on conquest and control.

The oil/gas production should have been strictly under the control of the West, its main users, before we literally spent a century developing a total dependency on the stuff for every aspect of our lives.

All Iran needs is to develop nukes then they could literally cut off all oil/gas from the ME to the world and there wouldn't be a damned thing anyone could do about it, and if not for Trump, they might have succeeded.

We should have shot that crap down. We need to cut off railways or whatever means China and Russia is sending them help. This is really big for China, China's economy DEPENDS of getting most of their oil at a 25% discount direct from Iran and it all being paid via Yuans bypassing the almighty US Dollar. In effect, China and Iran have stolen billions of dollars in revenue from the USA.
As it is there must have been at least on airstrip available for them to land. Although the Chinese version of the C-17 can land on improvised airstrips?
Speaking of speed boats, I've noticed that when we sink one of them, we hit them with some big missile that kills everyone instantly sending the whole boat up in a massive conflagration.

Obviously, we should be using arms smaller and cheaper than that--- all we really need to do is blow a hole in it big enough to sink the thing.

When will we stop using a $1000 gold hammer just to drive in a 12-cent nail? The damn missile we hit them with probably costs us more than the whole boat and cargo was worth.
<~~~~~~~~~~>
The main weapon of the Apache Helicopter is it's 30 mm chain gun with a standoff of 2000 yards.

We are not going toa land war with a country that can be easily supplied by China and Russia.

The Last Days of the Iranian Regime

Iran’s regime lost the war the moment American force and economic pressure exposed its bluff; what remains is the slow collapse of a terror state running out of money, options, and time.

Some nearly stochastic notes on Iran. I begin by singing the same song I have been crooning since President Trump announced the ceasefire and naval blockade in mid-April. The war is over. If this were a novel, we’d be in epilogue territory where we tie up some loose threads in the plot and learn about the fates of various characters.

It is very difficult for rats in a sewer pipe to know what’s going on in the outside world. Some color for the Iranian leadership as they literally sit in the dark:
  1. The United States has complete control of the Strait of Hormuz.
  2. There is a hard currency, i.e., U.S. dollar, shortage.
  3. Food and gasoline rationing are in place.
  4. The entire international community has turned against you. T
  5. The BLOCKADE will continue until there is pre-February 27 Freedom of Navigation.
Many of the thugs running Iran and enforcing its terror regime have retirement accounts and other assets outside the country. The US Treasury knows all about them. “The retirement funds they thought they had outside of Iran, we are freezing. Same with their villas in the South of France. We are going to track them down, and we are going to continue the economic pressure as well as the blockade.”

President Trump may very well choose to redeploy the kinetic option. We’ll see. Either way, the regime is finished. Let’s leave the last word to Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy:
We’ve learned two things from our conflict with Iran:
1. If you turn the other cheek with Iran, they’ll stab you in the neck.
2. President Trump has oranges the size of beach balls.

Commentary:
I was disheartened today when I learned my neighbor is a full-on terminal TDS deep end, so I scoured the Internet looking for some optimism.
In what little of Iran’s 14 point peace counter proposal is known, the gist is—–America, back off, leave the Strait, guarantee no new attacks, and pay us for all the damage you’ve done. And, oh by the way, we aren’t giving up our nukes.
In the meantime, Al-Jazeera reports that US air activity is picking up. At least 12 C-17A Globemaster III military cargo planes are enroute to the region bring re-supply materials. Each C-17 is capable of carrying 77 tons of equipment. In addition, flights of KC-135 refueling tankers are also up. It appears President Trump is preparing a kinetic response to Iran’s latest demands.
I have no idea how much longer this is going to drag out. I only know that Iran is finished. I suppose it will end when those scurrying for power wake up to that fact they've lost it all.

So you're telling us that the war was not "won", right?

You're telling us that Bibi and his SecWar Trump needed the ceasefire to cannibalize the last of our ammunition to both restock our munitions and allow "greatest Ally" to continue their Genocide in Gaza and Blitzkrieg into civilians in Lebanon.

You think Iran didn't already know what's coming?

What do you suppose happens after that final round and Iran refuses to acknowledge that Trump won again! Second time in 3 months!

Or, worst of all, if Bibi or his SecWar Trump decide to do something stupid like attack Iran civilian infrastructure, what will happen?

Oil producers don’t want to ‘drill baby drill.’ There’s a problem in Texas.

Their 14 point plan was a total joke. And, they seem to have forgotten that we started the military action against them because we didn't want them having nukes and their so called peace plan refuses to even discuss the nukes which they say they don't want in the first place.

We did that in Korea and Vietnam, or have you forgotten.

And we stalemated in Korea and lost in Vietnam.

It is the same strategy Washington followed.

We got 5 Battlegroups moving in on Iran.

Ehat the **** gonna do about it?

I was MAGA and the Alt Right could argue consistently, but their leader is the most inconsistent President in modern history, other than deportation and tariffs.
