Treating your employees well is a major component in building a major business. What people often forget is the employees are the business. A problem with the stock market today is it provides a path to large quick profits while producing little of value. The demand for quick profits by investors cause businesses to focus on short term gains instead of long term growth. In this environment, good employees are often sacrificed to enhance the next earnings report.

I don't think so. The company that handles my IRA is doing great, and I've had the same companies they invested in for years.

Saying that employees are the business is like saying the beer vendors in the stands at a baseball game are the team. They are not part of the team. They are workers who accommodate the people that pay money to see the team. The roadies of a band are not the band. They merely set up and tear down the equipment so people can see the band.

Businesses produce the goods and profits. Workers simply work. Workers create the product or service, but it's the company who has to sell the product or services the workers create. The company makes income off the product or service, and the worker makes income by producing the product or service.

If we disallowed people who don't pay any income tax from voting in national elections, we would be disqualifying 44% of the adults and 80% of those over 75.. There is at least some justice in restricting the decisions as how money is to be used to those that provide the money. However, there is a very negative aspect to this. People not having a voice in government ensures that government will not be responsive to their needs which is the major cause of civil violence and revolution. In fact, most of the failures of democratic countries can be directly linked to the lack of the voice of the people in government.

So what would be the solution to that problem? Everybody paying income tax. That's why I've always said we need a consumption tax. This tax would be exclusive to our national debt. When you buy something, you pay 10 cents per dollar towards our debt. If the debt increases, then we increase the consumption tax. Then if people want to vote for free college, free daycare, free food, reparations, they would actually have to fork over the cash to support these new programs along with the ones we already have. Now if we did that, sure, then everybody should be able to vote in national elections.

As you pointed out, almost half of our population doesn't pay any income taxes at all. So when they vote, why should they care about any new social program? They don't care because the government is going to send somebody else the bill for it and many of them will benefit from it. If everybody had a dog in this race, the Democrats would lose a lot of support for their new idiotic ideas.

In anticipation of your response, yes, they could afford it. Democrats don't care if they double their energy costs for green. Democrats never cared when they increased tobacco taxes which basically target lower and middle income people. Democrats don't care if they can afford health insurance and confiscate their federal income tax return. So if those lower income people can afford these Democrat ideas, then they can afford to pay income tax as well.

Black Lives Matter is mentioned in four incidents in the University of Maryland’s Global Terrorism Database, which includes 200,000 terrorist attacks dating back to 1970, but the group is not listed as a perpetrator group in any incidents in the database.

Here are the four cases in which the group is mentioned:

• Assailants opened fire on a Black Lives Matter rally in Minneapolis on Nov. 23, 2015, injuring five people. No group claimed responsibility for the incident, but "sources attributed the attack to white supremacists and identify one of the assailants as a member of the Sovereign Citizen movement. Four individuals were arrested in connection with the attack." SO REPUBLICANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ONE

• Lakeem Keon Scott claimed responsibility for opening fire on police officers and civilians in Bristol, Tenn., on July 7, 2016. One person was killed and four others, including a police officer and the assailant, were injured. Witnesses reported Scott shouting, "Police suck! Black lives matter!" during the attack. Law enforcement at the time said Scott, who served in the U.S. Army and was a National Guard reservist, acted alone.

• Also on July 7, 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson claimed responsibility for opening fire on police officers at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas. Five police officers were killed and nine people, including officers and civilians, were injured. Johnson stated that he "wanted to kill white people" before being killed during a standoff with police. Johnson was an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan who told investigators he acted alone.

• "An unknown anti-police extremist group claimed responsibility for" a person throwing an incendiary device at a parked police vehicle in Daytona Beach, Fla., on July 17, 2016, and "in a note left at the scene and stated "’Black Lives Matter.’" REPUBLICANS DID THIS ONE
