The "K-Shaped Economy"

Yes, I'm sure your economic/market experience absolutely DWARFS my 23+ years as a CFP/CLU/ChFC, 7/63/65, Author, Writer, Consultant, Speaker.

Maybe one day I'll be as informed as you.
Notice Mashmont never actually knows what he is talking about.

And I do mean never.

He knows less than nothing about any of this.

And he will be so proud to show that to you.

He is one of the volunteer privates for the conservatives that tricked us all with trickle down.

This has been the case for 40 years, ever since the conservatives tricked working people into accepting Trickle Down Economics.
Exactly. When they took "greed is good" and "government is the problem" as gospel, the "K" began to form.

And they're even worse off now than they were then. That's the insane, otherworldly irony of this whole thing.

He's a True Believer. He's about as pure as you'll find here. A blank canvas on which Trump has scribbled.

I can handle arrogance, and I can handle ignorance. Hell, we ALL have our moments.

But arrogant ignorance? Dunning-Kruger? Yeah, that rubs me the wrong way.

But don’t you see? That statement is pure arrogance on your part. You dismiss a successful person and imply they can’t think for themselves. It’s similar to the way you people claim Trump is an inept businessman despite having earned billions of dollars. The cognizant dissonance leftwingers must go through is off the charts.

Ah, here we go. When a Republican president is too successful with the economy, then making money becomes a negative, and the narrative becomes “greed”. Happened with the Reagan boom. It’s happening now.

Trickle down economics works for everybody, including the poor. In addition to job created by wealthy people, charities do best when high earners do well. Charitable giving in 2025 is up, thanks to President Trump’s policies. The BBB will lead to even more charitable donating.

You gotta be rich to live well in in this 'green' economy where regulations stifle growth for those that can't afford attorneys and legal work arounds.

Yet the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer here Mash

The poor are not getting poorer. Our "poor" have more than most everybody in the world. Also, I've never understood the problem with the 'widening gap" between the wealthiest people and others". How does it hurt you if I have $10 million or $20 million? It just means I can spend more and give more to charity and provide more jobs if I have more. The entire leftwing agenda is based on envy. Why don't they, instead, encourage people to strive for excellence. You never hear anything like that from leftwing politicians.

The poor are as diverse as the not-poor. Also, many don't remain poor just as many of the not-poor don't remain so. However, the 'generational poor', made up of criminals, the mentally ill, the sick and indolent, are a sad lot. These are those that "are always with you".

The Trump administration has now canceled three major economic reports. The Bureau of Economic Analysis says it will no longer release the third-quarter GDP estimate, which had already been delayed by the shutdown. The Labor Department also dropped last month’s jobs report, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics pulled its inflation report.

They are worse off.

But the right wing manages to get them to forget about that by convincing them the entire country is a total shithole, and only Republicans can fix it. Which comes with its own, baffling irony.

It's a fascinating example of abnormal psychology

Fascinating, frustrating, exasperating, yeah.

We're watching people in trailer homes, barely getting by (or not) who have been conditioned to view this country from the perspective of billionaires, the elite. Literally. They do absolutely zero bottom-up analysis. Personally, I attribute this to the Limbaugh years and the pervasive overall media ecosystem they created.

So they'll see their health insurance costs skyrocket, they'll be unable to afford groceries and utilities, they'll watch the wealth gap expand beyond all reason, they'll see their families and their friends struggle, and they'll still fight you all day about top-end individual income taxes or regulations and controls that protect the everyday consumer.

It simply does not make sense, outside of the conditioning they've received. This is a full sociological break. It's a divergence from any kind of logic.

So, you must think Al Capone was a successful businessman.

Trump is a lying, corrupt criminal and has been for well over 50 years.

Jun 9, 2016 — Among them: a dishwasher in Florida. A glass company in New Jersey. A carpet company. A plumber. Painters. Forty-eight waiters.

In addition to the lawsuits, the review found more than 200 mechanic’s liens — filed by contractors and employees against Trump, his companies or his properties claiming they were owed money for their work — since the 1980s.

The liens range from a $75,000 claim by a Plainview, N.Y., air conditioning and heating company to a $1 million claim from the president of a New York City real estate banking firm.

On just one project, Trump’s Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, records released by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission in 1990 show that at least 253 subcontractors weren’t paid in full or on time, including workers who installed walls, chandeliers and plumbing.
