The Iranian Parliament has just ordered the Strait of Hormuz Strait must be CLOSED.

We aren’t ā€œobligatedā€ to do anything, it’s a choice on how we respond. You asked if the closing of the strait was an act of war, I told you it was not, you disagreed, I explained why it was not an act of war and now you have changed it to an act of aggression, which is what I said, you have shown me nothing.
Closing it would require blockade and that is an act of war.

I understand that, however, the once the US bombed Iraq, which is an act of war, thay already at war, they are retaliating. So it is an act of war but they were already at war and are finding a way to retaliate against the US and Israel.

And then attacking and destroying their blockade is justified.

Never happen. Any attempt will be squashed like a bug hitting a windshield.

I’m not seeing the relevance to closing the strait as an act of war, we bombed them, that is an act of war. Closing the strait is retaliation to an act of war, not an act of war.
Closing a strait in international waters is an act of war against every country that uses it, not just us!

Trump fires oil price warning after Iran strikes

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a broad warning to "KEEP OIL PRICES DOWN" after his strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, and urged his administration's energy department to "DRILL, BABY, DRILL".

The Iranians have touted the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key commercial shipping channel through which a large chunk of the world's oil supply flows every day, as a potential retaliation for the strikes. Iran is also a major oil producer.

A spike in oil prices would likely feed back to higher inflation for American consumers, a potentially big political problem for Trump, who fought his way back to the White House

And trump knows what will happen to our economy if the strait is closed, coupled with his tariff mess. Inflation will go through the roof.

Iran's parliament has approved the closure of the key oil shipping route Strait of Hormuz after the US bombed three of its nuclear facilities, state media Press TV reported today.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most critical chokepoints, through which a fifth of global oil and gas supply flows.

Just happened so not much more on it for now.....Hopefully it's just blustering from a dying regime.

China, being the primary victim of such a closure, might have something to say about it.

Actually doing it would further alienate them from the rest of the world and likely make regime change inevitable.

They do NOT have that right. Now it's going to get a lot worse.

bluster .. if they try to close the straits how will they sell their oil ? its a negotiating card they are trying to play .. Iran is begging for Israel and now the US to stop hammering them .. and if they attack shipping ... well lets just say ..they wont be allowed to do it ..
Straight to the Bottom of the Strait

This Iranian move was inevitable. It can easily be obliterated, but the mullahs are hoping for TACO.
