The "I Stand With Israel" thread

Where are the bomb shelters for civilians in the Gaza strip?
They don't have any. They're not allowed to leave. They're not allowed to have any weapons to defend themselves. They're not allowed to have a democratically elected government. They're not allowed to have freedom. They're not even allowed to grieve for their lost loved ones.
Jihad, martyrdom and death cult demands sacrifies, of course.

Where are the bomb shelters for civilians in the Gaza strip?

They wouldn't need any if they stopped firing rockets into Israel.

If Mexico fired rockets into Texas and we fire back should we build bomb shelters, in mexico, to protect their civilians first?

You make no sense.

P F Tinmore, et al,

Let us look at this.

A comprehensive definition of Israel.

(OBSERVATIONS)

(i) It is the Arab Palestinians that "seriously intimidating a population," through threats of violence. Whether we speak of the HAMAS Martyr Izz ad din al-Qassam and the Palestinian Black Hand, the basic threat of the 1948 Arab Higher Committee, the invasion by the Arab Armies in 1948, or the various armed conflicts since, all the way through to the missile, indiscriminate rocket and mortar fire today. The threats made in open channels to use andy and all means. It is all intimidation by the Arab Palestinian to deny the Israeli their right to self determination.

(ii) It is the Arab Palestinians that is attempting to unduly compelling the Israeli Government and the international organisation (Mandate, GA/RES 181) to perform or abstain from performing any act, establishing the right of the Israel to exercise their right of self-determination. It is the Arab Palestinians that that created the controversy by declaring Jihad as the solution and Arm Struggle as the means.

(iii) It is the Arab Palestinians that is seriously destabilising or destroying the fundamental political, constitutional, economic or social structures of a country or an international organisation; since a time before the 1929 Riots instigated by them.

(a) attacks upon a person's life which may cause death;

Hijackings, Piracy, suicide bombings, rocket fire, kidnapping and murder by the:

  • Abu Nidal Organization
  • Tanzim
  • Hamas
  • Palestine Islamic Jihad
  • Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade
  • Popular Resistance Committees (PRC)
  • Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP)
  • Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)
  • Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)
  • Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC)

(b) attacks upon the physical integrity of a person;

Not counting any of the recent material events which we have discussed, a small sampler would be:

August 28, 2011 -- Eight people were wounded when a Palestinian man from Nablus attacked a Tel Aviv nightclub. The terrorist hijacked a taxi in Jaffa and rammed into an Israel Border Police checkpoint that had been set up to protect the event of over 2,000 people. He then jumped out of the taxi, shouted “Allahu Akhbar” and began stabbing bystanders and police.

August 18, 2011 -- A series of attacks targeted civilians in soldiers in southern Israel, killing eight people and wounding at least 31. Terrorists from Gaza infiltrated Israel via the border with Egypt, and fired on a civilian busses and vehicles, detonated explosives when IDF soldiers arrived on the scene of the attack, and then launched mortar shells at soldiers along the Israeli-Egyptian border.

April 7, 2011 – An anti-tank missile fired from Gaza at a clearly-marked yellow Israeli school bus driving near the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council wounded an Israeli teenager and the bus driver. The boy, 16-year-old Daniel Viflic, later died from his wounds in the hospital.

March 11, 2011 – Five Israelis, all members of the same family, were stabbed to death in their beds by two men, both believed to be Palestinian. The victims included father and mother Ehud and Ruth Fogel, and three of their six children, Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and three-month-old Hadas. The brutal murders, which occurred in Itamar, drew international condemnation from governments, the United Nations and the Middle East Quartet of nations.

(c) kidnapping or hostage taking;

Jun 13, 2014 · On Thursday, three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped

June 25, 2006: Eliahu Asheri, 18, of Itamar, was kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists from the Popular Resistance Committees while hitchhiking from Betar Illit, southwest of Bethlehem, to Neveh Tzuf, where he was studying. His body was found on June 29 in Ramallah. Israeli Authorities believe Asheri was murdered by his captors shortly after his kidnapping.

(d) causing extensive destruction to a Government or public facility, a transport system, an infrastructure facility, including an information system, a fixed platform located on the continental shelf, a public place or private property, likely to endanger human life or result in major economic loss;

The Arab Palestinian has had the exact same opportunities as those given the Israel. Yet, as you look at the culture of the Palestinian community (West Bank/Gaza Strip) you see a vast difference in the development of the two cultures. Now the Palestinian always blames Israeli oppression on by the Israelis. But the oppression was a direct result of behaviors of the Palestinian. The security barriers and countermeasures they complain about came as a result of hostile activities by the Arab Palestinian. They focus most of their effort on conflict goals and not infrastructure. They are an unproductive and parasitic culture both regionally and internationally. And they only have themselves to blame.

(e) seizure of aircraft, ships or other means of public or goods transport;

  • 22 February 1972: Lufthansa Flight 649
  • June 27 - July 4, 1976: The hijack of Air France Flight 139
  • 1977: Lufthansa Flight 181
  • On Monday, 7 October 1985, Palestinian terrorists seized control of the Achille Lauro
  • 1985: EgyptAir Flight 648
  • 1996: Hemus Air Tu-154

(f) manufacture, possession, acquisition, transport, supply or use of weapons, explosives or of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons, as well as research into, and development of, biological and chemical weapons;

Multiple Rocket Launcher
  • al Quds-3 MRL (Hamas & Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement)
Short Range Artillery Rockets

  • Qassam Type 1, 2, 3, & 4 (Hamas)
  • al Quds Type 101 & 2 (Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement)
  • al Nasser-3 (Popular Resistance Committees)
  • al Nasser-4 (Popular Resistance Committees)
  • Saria-2 (Tanzim)
  • Kafah (Fatah)
  • Jenin-1 (Fatah)
  • Arafat Type 1 & 2 (Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade)
  • Aqsa-3 (Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade)
  • Sumoud rocket (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine)
Anti-Tank Missiles

  • Yasin RPG (Hamas)
  • al Bana RPG (Hamas developed, in use by other factions)
  • al Batar RPG (Hamas developed, in use by other factions)
  • Mortars[edit]
  • Sariya-1 240mm Mortar (Fatah & Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine)
  • 120mm mortar
  • 81mm mortar
  • 60mm/52mm mortar

(g) release of dangerous substances, or causing fires, explosions or floods the effect of which is to endanger human life;

A majority of Palestinians say that suicide bombing is often or sometimes justified “in order to defend Islam from its enemies,” according to a new Pew Research survey.
“Support for suicide bombing and other violence aimed at civilian targets is most widespread in the Palestinian territories, with 62% of Muslims saying that such attacks are often or sometimes justified in order to defend Islam from its enemies,” the report said.

This is a detailed list of Palestinian rocket and mortar attacks on Israel in 2014.

(COMMENT)

It doesn't really matter if we talk about the way Palestinians complained that the UN provided school books were not violent enough for the children, or the terrorist summer camps the Palestinians send their children too, or the way parents dress their children to be suicide bombers. It doesn't matter if we discuss the HAMAS Covenant or the PNC Charter and how they essentially plead the case for Jihad and Armed Struggle. It doesn't matter if we recap the litany of Palestinian Officials that preach the fighting through any and all means, of the indiscriminate rocket fire or ---- whatever. It all amount to a very accurate history of past hostile and criminal behaviors that paint the unmistakeable picture of a culture built on terrorism; right down from the Palestinian Black Hand through today and the recent events we've all discussed.

Yes, you can raise the spectre of questionable behaviors of the Israeli, but nothing on the magnitude of the Arab Palestinian and their campaign of the virtual victim by the Palestinian.

Most Respectfully,

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is not at all about who enjoys Human Rights, or who are the right kind of people. It is about Arab Palestinian power and influence and the control of territory necessary to make another Arab fiefdom or enclave.

The right of return is just words of description to mask the attempt of Arab Palestinians to overrun the Jewish Nation Home and flood it with hostile Arabs.

And the argument of proportionality and right of self-defense is merely a ploy to shift the balance of projected power; setting aside that it is the use of deadly force with the objective to intimidate the Jewish Nation.

All this again, is a presentation in the format of the "virtual and perpetual victim." Remembering of course that the 1948/49 War of Independence meant nothing. The Arab-Palestinians want a "do-over" with no penalty assessed for attempting to use force to achieve land control, overturning the San Remo objectives and the Resolution of 1947; supported by the external armed influence and invasion of the Arab League. The Conflict started with the Arab Palestinian attempting to deny the Jewish people their right to self-determination.

I cry not for the Arab Palestinian that and their plight. They have made no attempt to improve or re-invest in their nation for more than half a century, and now they cry the biggest tears because they don't have what Israel has. It is a self-inflected wound in which they constantly pick the scab and never let heal.

Sorry, if I'm not sympathetic to their culture of hostility, terrorism and criminality. They are what they are; and as long as they are, they need contained, suppressed and isolated, in an effective quarantine; until such time as they can assimilate into the 21st Century.

Most Respectfully,

Presuming all you've presented in the full content of the above reference comprises an accurate summary of the Israel/Palestine situation, why should any American citizen be sufficiently concerned about the right and wrong of it to take a supportive position? Why should the U.S. be favoring a side in this volatile and extremely dangerous conflict? Is it reasonable to say the U.S. has enough problems of its own to be provoking the animosity of either side?

While my position in this topic always leads to my being denounced as anti-Semitic, the fact is I am thoroughly convinced our support of Israel was the motivation for two major terrorist attacks, both the unsuccessful 1993 attack on the World Trade Center and the final 9/11 tragedy.

[. . .]We know at least one reason behind the symbolic participation of the Western forces and that is to support the Zionist plans for expansion of what is called the Greater Israel. Surely, their presence is not out of concern over their interests in the region. ... Their presence has no meaning save one and that is to offer support to the Jews in Palestine who are in need of their Christian brothers to achieve full control over the Arab Peninsula which they intend to make an important part of the so called Greater Israel. ...

If you will read the text of the entire interview you will see that bin Laden issued an unmistakable warning to the U.S. that we would pay for our continued support of Israel. And we did.

(Excerpt 2)

On Ramseh Youssef:

". . . .So, then, what motivated him? Here, Mr. Reeve mistakenly argues that Yousef had no real ideology - no clear or definable political goals" and a generalized hatred of the United States. This analysis, however, overlooks Mr. Reeve's own plentiful evidence in "The New Jackals" that Yousef, who called himself "Pakistani by birth, Palestinian by choice," made anti-Zionism the core belief of his wretched existence.

In another note found on his computer, for example, he threatened more attacks on American targets "in response to the . . . assistance given to the Jewish State by the American government."

Yousef did have a clear and definable goal: the destruction of Israel. Finding Israeli installations too well defended, he attacked American ones instead. In short, he is an independent terrorist motivated by his hatred of Israel and Jews.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind the U.S. Congress' response to the lobbying efforts of AIPAC and JINSA in providing continuous support of Israel is the reason our World Trade Center was destroyed and 3,000 of our citizens died hideous deaths. It is the reason for the atmosphere of paranoia which has since descended on America. Ultimately it provided Bush with an excuse for invading Iraq, which has cost us another 5,000 lives and a fortune in treasure.

Knowing what our support of Israel has already cost us, why do we stubbornly adhere to this, "I Stand With Israel!" position?

Why?

If we are talking about civilised societies then sure Israel is western like society with organisation, human rights and everything else (though human rights go bye bye when it comes to their attitude tpwards Palestinians)....on the other hand the muslim Palestinianss are not that much better than the rest of the Arabic world.
But here we dont have a discussion about the more advanced and civilised community but about who is the true owner and who is the tyrant on the lands of Judea/Palestaine. In this case the rightfull owners are the Palestinians and not the Jews that gathered there after WW2 and exiled/kicked out the rightfull inhabitants.

Now Israelis have problem because the people who are still in exile, confined like animals in spesific areas and opressed, try to revolt and attack them, every time they can?
Is like if the thief is crying and protest because the owner of the house tries to escape from the basement and attack him.... Ironic eh?

half the palestinians left either before or soon after the fighting started. But a handful were forced out. Many of those supported the attacks on Israel.

half the population stayed and prospered along side the jews as Israelis.

Half the population are happy for staying

Is that what you mean?

It's Israeli aggression against a helpless population.

Helpless population? So firing rockets at nuclear power plants, the International Airport, blowing up a gas station, and various other targets is considered a "helpless population" to you?
