there are myths of floods in many cultures

so sth of it must be true
The end of the ice age created a flood. So do earthquakes. Allegories are often based on a true event. Noahs Ark is simply not possible. If you ever worked with animals you would know that

There are details that suggest it was a real event, not an allegory, although it is replete with spiritual lessons.

Its an allegory
Jesus said it was true so you can’t be Christian and not believe the flood was real. It’s tricky.

Hebrews 11:7 says that “By faith Noah, warned by God about events as yet unseen, respected the warning and built an ark to save his household; by this he condemned the world . . . “
