The GOP’s absurd anti-Pope crusade

First of all, Jesus Christ probably did not exist in the way you think he did. Secondly, If he did exist I can say with no qualm that I am opposed to his leftist tripe. People should be judged on what they do instead of being assigned intrinsic value. Intrinsic value is, in essence, a form of social subside in that it entitles someone, King or skag rapist, to certain natural rights that they did nothing to earn. Third, I am an atheist. Therefore, your intended "profound" comeback failed miserably.
So, you thought that response was just for you? That could have been done in a PM. Profound enough for you? :cool-45:

Funny how the left suddenly has a more favorable view of the Pope when he is taking more liberal than conservative views on things. For the record I neither love nor hate the Pope he's entitled to his views and to express them the fact he is the Pope does not make his views or opinions more relevant to me than anyone else's.

When he walks out there as the infallible one we are to take note.

What part of the POPE IS INFALLIBLE DON'T YOU GET ASSHOLE?
Hmm no anger for blackhawks post. Only for mine which was his post copy and pasted with two words changed. Interesting...

The Pope is a Marxist...so naturally the Left loves him.

Ironic how they can turn on a dime...they had nothing but hate for the church, before this crazy Pope.

The GOP hates pope francis because he addresses actual issues they want to ignore.
The GOP’s absurd anti-Pope crusade: The bizarre spectacle of Republicans turning on a religious leader
Faced with the distinct possibility that the man who is currently the world’s most beloved and respected moral authority will publicly shred their governing ideology and rebuke their position on issues from immigration to climate change, conservatives are responding by having a complete meltdown over Pope Francis’ impending visit.

In the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and singing “La! La! La!”

Republican Catholic Congressman Paul Gosar announced that he will boycott Pope Francis’ Thursday speech to Congress because the pope may talk about climate change. As he writes in Time, he was super psyched to hear Francis talk about the persecution of Christian minorities in the Middle East, the “enslavement, belittlement, rape and desecration of Christian women and children,” and the “condoned, subsidized, intentionally planned genocide of unborn children by Planned Parenthood.”

But, to his eternal disappointment, Francis reportedly “instead intends to focus the brunt of his speech on climate change—a climate that has been changing since first created in Genesis.” Even worse, according to Gosar, is the fact that “this climate change talk has adopted all of the socialist talking points, wrapped false science and ideology into ‘climate justice’ and is being presented to guilt people into leftist policies.”

What most disappoints Gosar is that Francis isn’t sticking to “standard Christian theology”—you know, that part of the bible where it says “thou shall not fund Planned Parenthood,” not the part that says “for the land is mine; with me you are but aliens and tenants. Throughout the land that you hold, you shall provide for the redemption of the land” (Leviticus 25:23-24). Or the part that says, “For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and humans have no advantage over the animals; for all is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 3:18-22).

The new Pope is a Peronista. I suggest you look that up.
I know what peronism is.

Then you should understand why the pubs don't like him much.

It's hard to define peronism, and I'd hardly call the pope one, conservatives hate him because he accepts the reality of climate change and wants to address income inequality. Well, both things are actual christian values.. Protecting the earth and the poor.

Peronism at its core was democratic socialism. The Pope is an avowed socialist, that's why the progressives love him and why the pubs don't. It's actually pretty simple.

Sure, sure, the pope actually following the bible is socialist now.

You're uninformed. Popes being concerned with the lot of the poor and powerless is nothing new. It's been that way as long as I can remember, back to John XXIII.

There are many passages in the Bible and one of them is "render unto Caeser that which is Caeser's". The Popes job is to look after the spiritual well being of his flock. The last time the Pope's got involved in the temporal world, we ended up with the Crusades.

How did that work out for the world at large?

The pope also tell his followers to recognize the need to protect our earth and address the growing income inequality.. Not even comparable to the crusades.

I have thought it was a mistake from the beginning to appoint a fucking Jesuit as Pope. He's clearly a leftist creep. He's not a Marxist, but I can see how people may get that impression. He is, however, a left-leaning **** who apparently thinks that the poor and wretched have some kind of intrinsic value and that the wealthy have some kind of duty to transfer some of their wealth to them.

Fuck the Jesuit creep!
Mr Jenkins may find interesting the following statement by Pope John Paul II:

“The needs from which socialism had historically arisen were real and serious. The situation of exploitation to which inhumane capitalism had subjected the proletariat since the beginning of industrialized society was indeed an evil. This was Marxism’s basic kernel of truth, which enabled it to present itself as an attractive reality to Western society.”

Oh wow, that totally CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

You stupid fucking asshole. I know what John Paul was about. It is ridiculous that you are even trying to play "gotcha", you ignorant ****. If it were not for "copy and paste" you would be virtually an illiterate. Go fuck yourself, you simpleton ****!

So which "feel good" denomination of Christianity are you a member of?
What does that have to do with anything?
Most of the "feel good" denominations in America have always hated Catholicism, and some even think Pope Francis is the anti-Christ. I was just wondering which of them you are a member of.
