In a Republic, actually
"Republicans are looting the store, taking everything they can grab off the shelves, anticipating the demise of Donald Trump as progressive energy explodes.
[…]
There’s been much speculation about why Republicans would pass an enormously unpopular tax bill knowing that the narrative of a tax bill at the time of its passage usually doesn’t change later, no matter what the reality turns out to be.
[…]
[M]uch of the motivation…seems to be desperation among many Republicans who see the handwriting on the wall. Between the Russia investigation and Trump’s plummeting approval, they know Trump will fall, or that they will soon lose control of the House and possibly the Senate ― or both."

This is also likely why McConnell is afraid to attempt to attack entitlements next year.

I don't know which planet you live on, but it ain't this one...
$121 million in the treasure chest: GOP’s record-breaking year

The butthurtness "leftists" feel with every win by The Donald results in them posting fake news by HuPo, WaPo, etc., total douchebaggery. Just go to CVS and pick up some Prep H to soothe the pain. :p

My favorite part of the OP:

Republicans are looting the store, taking everything they can grab off the shelves, anticipating the demise of Donald Trump as progressive energy explodes.

Ah, the rich rewarding the GOP. In some countries this would be called corruption.

Gawd! Again?

Not as unpopular as Obamacare (which was forced down America's throat). You people are such hypocrites.
Obamacare was indeed unpopular but most people thought the Affordable Care Act was a good thing.

The individual mandate (a liberal fine for not wanting it) was real unpopular if you were the one getting screwed over..

Yeah, freeloaders thought it was a good thing. They think everything somebody else has to pay for is a good thing.

If you think Obamacare "was forced down America's throat" because of the lack of Republican support, what do you say about this tax plan?

I'm talking about your hypocrisy. Try to keep up.

Your hypocrisy doesn't matter?

There is no hypocrisy on my part.
The tax bill wasn't passed behind closed doors.
The opposing party was not shut out of the process.
We didn't have to pass it to find out what was in it.
It doesn't force anyone to purchase a product they don't want.
Our President didn't act as legislator in chief and usurp Congress by unilaterally changing parts of the bill.
The tax bill was done LEGALLY, unlike Obamacare.
I don't recall you complaining about any of that.
