The mistake that both Musk and Bannon are making is thinking that either of them has any control over what Trump will do. That's the mistake that the Republican Party made when they allowed him to run for President the first time. Republicans assured the American people that they would protect them from the worst of Trump's excesses, and look how that turned out.

Everyone around Trump assured the American people that Trump would not pardon the most violent of the J6 defendants, but each case would be individually reviewed and those who were overcharged, would be pardoned. That's not what happened. Trump pardoned everyone, just like he said he would.

Now Trump has a loyal group of terrorists to handle his "extra-judicial problems". Stand back and stand by. They know Trump will protect them now. They can do anything.
