The infighting among the party continues as Hegseth gets confirmed but only by 1 vote (VP Vance had to cast his vote) as 3 members of the Republican majority led Senate voted against him. Among the party, there is big disagreement.
One additional factor about this vote that is important and that is that the pas 10 Secretaries of Defense (Dick Cheney, William Perry, Donald Rumsfeld, William Cohen, Robert Gates, Leon Panetta, Chuck Hagel, Ash Carter, James Mattis and Mark Esper) all were confirmed by at least 80% of the votes. Hegseth won by only 51%.
This means that this country is about divided as it can get.

How is that important or a factor at this time? The Dems have no say in what happens to our country right now. Infighting among them is totally irrelevant..................at this time. Are you trying to deflect from the REAL problem that is affecting our country NOW?
