Younger people don't use Facebook. They use Instagram and Snapchat. As they grow older, Facebook's future is going to be affected more by that fact than this recent controversy.

Anyone remember Myspace?

Not sure what you mean by "younger people" but many of my siblings kids use it, they are in the 25-35 range. I feel like it gets more popular as they have kids of their own. Instagram and Snapchat do not offer the same chance to show what an amazing mother you are and then have everyone reply and tell you how amazing you are.

Which is fine provided government isn’t doing the ‘policing.’

No one says social media are immune from the consequences of their bad acts; private citizens in the context of private society are at liberty to denounce FB, refuse to join, and delete their accounts.

Perhaps.

But embracing tyranny by using the authority of the state to silence social media because we don’t like how they operate as private entities isn’t the answer.

Instagram most certainly does give you the chance to show what an awesome mother you are.

And TikTok (forgot to mention another younger generation favorite) lets you post videos of what a great mother you are.

The left is the top target of Big Tech

They don't like declared conservatives, but they DESPISE the left.

I think the problem is that liberals are basically closet conservatives all in for the PermaState, but the left consistently opposes authoritarianism, war mongering, obscene profiteering and so forth, and supports GENUINELY progressive agendas like M4A.

Lucky for the kleptocracy, the left is a tiny, powerless group, so easily targeted; no one will come to their rescue.
