Write down a list of what the far right wants / then write down a list of what the far left wants and the answer lies somewhere in between the two. The end result is only applicable to yourself because it's all a personal.choice. Hopefully enough people will agree on something in between. No more wasting time and lives on these extremists. Actual.progress for a change.All.it takes is compromise by both extremes.
Actually, that might work but we need to see numbers, such as compromising on the Obamacare subsidies would be to continue them but reduce them by 50 percent.

The best protection is a strong immune system, something the government is not concerned with. In fact, a weak citizenry makes government control that much easier.
are you talking about Trump? If so, absolutely yes

Unless it adversely affects the poor and minorities. Tur military is long overdo to be brought under control. So is education.Ad well.as addressing the debt. These things adversely affect all of US.

The NYT recently followed up on that theme.

The Partisans Are Wrong: Moving to the Center Is the Way to Win

American politics today can seem to be dominated by extremes. President Trump is carrying out far-right policies, while some of the country’s highest-profile Democrats identify as democratic socialists. Moderation sometimes feels outdated.

It is not. Candidates closer to the political center, from both parties, continue to fare better in most elections than those farther to the right or left. This pattern may be the strongest one in electoral politics today, but it is one that many partisans try to obscure and many voters do not fully grasp.

The evidence is vast. Republicans have frittered away winnable races in Alabama, New Hampshire and elsewhere over the past decade by nominating extremist candidates, while Senator Susan Collins of Maine, a moderate Republican, is the only sitting senator who represents a state that reliably votes the other way in presidential elections. On the Democratic side, there are no progressives in the mold of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Bernie Sanders who represent a swing district or state. Instead, the Democrats who win tough races work hard to signal to voters that they are less progressive than their party.

The editorial board appears to have left the question on the best way to govern for another day. But it clearly thinks centrism is the best way to get elected.

One hopes both sides will take a lesson from the current trumpian disaster and Mamdani's impending failures.
berg are you trying to say you are a moderate?....

Most people are near the center. Theyre to busy slaving away and are too tired and stressed to fight constantly. Just saying.

All those things don't sound extreme to me. They are reasonable demands that benefit everyone. A system that is rigged to favor the 1% means it hurts the 99%. We live in a finite world , physical universes have their limitations.
I agree. This is why I wonder about people who think those advocating for such things are extreme leftists. It just doesn't make any sense. Then we have capitalism, which these guys think is so successful, but 1 percent of the people have the most of the wealth. That's not success, that's a recipe for total collapse. But those in the 1 percent tell others how socialism will fail because if we choose to go that route, they can no longer continue enriching themselves on the rest of us.

Who gets to define "extreme". I'm extremely healthy for my age because I have an extreme lifestyle when compared to the norm.
Certainly not MAGA types, and living a healthy lifestyle is not extreme.

There are no “ Center “ Democrats in National Level Elected Office .
That's a lie. The problem is the far-right extremists in the Republican party who tell us that they are the center.

I agree, what issues are you willing to compromise on?
Issues of true equality and equal opportunity are not negotiable. So, assuming victimhood and trying to change laws and policies when all data shows it's not so is not up for discussion.

That's a label.ectremists came up with. You must be one.

That name was invented to discribe republicans who kept sabotaging partisan advantage and wins.

Being against that was not "Extreme".
