By seeing the suspension of incredulity spread beyond simple theism (which is all you touched on in your comments, btw) to detrimental effect, for one.

And, know that I don't think theism alone always messes up children. But the idea of letting faith trump evidence and reason is getting out of hand. Religion is only part of it, but a pretty large part.
