However even if I disagree with you that making money is the #1 objective of MSM --- it could also very well be that the "powers" who control these news organizations have enough billions already where their main objective of controlling the message to the American public is not to make a few more millions but to influence social and political thought.

There is no "corporation interest" there is only the collective individual interests of the board members in overseeing the CEO and his staffers, and they may not particularly care about short term losses if they trust the CEO to guide them to long term profits, and that can come about via supporting a winning Presidential candidate and getting access to various parts of the government that they think will sell them advertising. And they may be supporting that CEO's losing policies out of trust.

The way you are talking corporations should never go out of business since all they do is follow a laser like focus on making more money and that is obviously wrong, just look at GM and the disaster that company was for stock holders in recent years.

And the CEOs very often use the resources of the current corporation that they run to make good with other potential employing boards by sacrificing the interests of his own corporation to achieve the connections he thinks he needs.

With news organizations, CNN then FOX and now One America News went through an early phase where they wanted to build up credibility and trust in their audience with accurate reporting. But once the CEO feels comfortable that his organization is established firmly enough, they never fail to cash that in for social favor and making social deals that help them as individuals even if it is poison to their long term corporate interests.

But this whole notion that a corporation only does what they think will make them more money is patently absurd except to the ideological hide bound naive.

I personally have seen local managers, with the company owners permission, burn several profitable contracts in order to simply extract retaliation on former employees that worked for the other company at the time the contract was being negotiated.

One cannot over estimate the vengeful, spiteful arrogance of upper level management and it gets worse the further up in such organizations that you go.

The managerial herd is in bad need of culling.

And it is coming.

Why would I be scared of being called racist? How would that even factor in to what I wrote?

If people slaughter immigrants, I will certainly be shocked. But I won't wonder why: it's tribalism, ignorance, fear, and hatred common to those of a conservative worldview.
