What is Paul talking about here? Im curious what people think:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: (Eph 1:10)

Your question can only be answered by 'the mature' (1Cor. 2:6-8) member of Christ's Body with in-depth knowledge of the 'Mystery of Christ' (Eph. 3:4, Col. 4:3); which is a microcosm of the larger 'God's Mystery' (Col. 2:2). My explanation of God's Hidden Wisdom is here. First, let us look at a better translation of the Greek:

9He (A)made known to us the mystery of His will, (B)according to His kind intention which He (C)purposed in Him
10with a view to an administration suitable to (D)the fullness of the times, that is, (E)the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth." Ephesians 1:9-10.
Paul is making a 'brief' (Eph. 3:3) mention of the 'Mystery of Christ,' that he will expand upon in Chapter 3.

Figure 1 shows "The Mystery Of His Will" that all things are summed up IN Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is the Father, Son And Holy Spirit (God's Son) "IN" whom all things are summed up. Note that all the arrows point to "Christ Jesus" from God's Infinite Realm 'and' This Adamic Realm that contains the heavens, heaven and earth. This diagram (here) shows that God's Mystery (Mystery of His Will) is the summing up process 'vertically,' while the smaller mystery (Mystery of Christ) is taking place 'horizontally' for the three witnesses of this Adamic Creation.

Figure 2 (from this diagram above) represents the right-hand one-third of Figure 1 showing the "Mystery of Christ" where all things in the heavens (realm of angels) and all things in the earth (realm of men) is summed up IN the Body of Christ through the 'Body of Moses/Eve' and the 'Body of Elijah/Adam.' You are looking at a vision of this summing up process in Matthew 17:1-8 at the Mount of Transfiguration:

Peter, John and James are looking at the earth (Moses/Eve) and Heaven (Christ/Lord God) and the heavens (Elijah/Adam) summed up into Christ Himself! :0)

In Christ Jesus,
