The differences are amazing

The following is two different coverages of the same story. One implies that the victim was to blame, while the other implies that the officer is to blame. What ever happened to giving th efacts and leaving opinion out of reporting.

Seems to me Fox reported it pretty straight; if giving all the facts is giving it a "pro-police" tilt, then maybe the police are in the right here. Fox is generally pretty fair - of course, cutting it down the middle must seem like a severe lurch to the right for consumers of MSM/DNC fare. Being told that down is up for thirty years is bound to have an effect on the perceptions of some.

CNN, of course, thought it worth mentioning that the off-duty officer was outside his jurisdiction, but considered unnewsworthy the fact that the female companion is being charged with felonies and misdemeanors as well. Sometimes the bias is found in what they DON'T report.
