I have given up on the Republican Party because of the corruption and devastation they have allowed. They never attempted to fix immigration, and they sold out jobs overseas with great enthusiasm. I still believe what the party is supposed to stand for makes sense, and is a great blueprint for a free society. A nation of free individuals with limited government. This brings me to the progressive party. I do not think its failure is due just to corruption. The people who vote for them are voting for the misery they bring. Open borders, crime, censorship, and much more. It is the progressive platform. I'm not going to get into what democrats used to be. I'm dealing with the people the last ten years and what they are campaigning on. I find it disturbing that many democrats believe that the progressives will transform our country into a Denmark like nation. There is no indication that they are doing any such thing. There is only the devastation they campaigned on. While the republican party has failed, its platform still makes sense. In what way do people think the Democrat platform will bring a Denmark like result?

The left has a love affair with Europe. I hear Denmark mentioned often as one of their ideals, even though Denmark keeps telling people that they have little in common with the progressive agenda.

In the current political landscape, we are limited to picking one of the two sides of a political war. Either you are a righty, or your are a lefty/commie. I understand the feeling of not identifying with either party, and I am quite aware of what all the political identifying terms like democrats, Republicans, progressive, socialists, etc, once meant, but these are the end times of the free world, and none of that really matters any more. Either you are a lefty, or you are a righty, and you fight for your side.

and they sold out jobs overseas with great enthusiasm. (BOTH globalist parties did this until Trump's populist "America First agenda")

Defund the police and lawlessness
Russia First Energy policies (Nord stream 2)
The Green New Deal ($trillions to poor countries)

Make DC & PR new states taking over the US senate forever
Replacing the Electoral College with the popular vote

I'm not going the uniparty route and saying both parties are the same. I admire what Trump accomplished, but his own party had a role in his demise. Trump tried to actually fix problems, and it highlighted for me how unwilling republican members of congress were to try to do anything. How many years before Trump have jobs been sold out and illegal immigration encouraged by republicans? After Trump, do you see the party actually trying to fix problems, or do you see them as a Washington First Organization.

The GOP is indeed a failure, but I fail to see the direction of the progressive party. They are purposely supporting illegal immigration, censorship, not prosecuting drug and property crimes, and teaching racism in schools.
