The Democratic Party is Dead

I think it is the system. Plurality voting has created a falsely, and bitterly, divided electorate. And the two parties work to ensure that no one threatens their power-sharing arrangement. Nothing expresses that more than their joint efforts to thwart any meaningful reform.
Do you have any "meaningful reform" ideas that they might not thwart? To me; they're going to do what they want to do. However, they have a shortage of good ideas. Let's send them some of yours. It couldn't possibly hurt.

This is the woman who raised $1 billion ended up $20 million in debt but was going to fix the US economy...

I've been working, for the past several years, to promote ranked choice voting. We've had a lot of success at the local level. But the Ds and Rs caught wind of it and came down hard on it this election cycle.

I don't think they want any ideas that would jeopardize their position of power and privilege.

That's what people were saying after the 1984 election when Reagan won 49 states.

Guess what?
Neither party will die. The both suck, so whichever gets into power will be voted out eventually in favor of the other. Which will also suck. But the two parties make the rules.

I know quite a bit about ranked choice voting, and it sounds like a more democratic method to me, so I'm in favor. The key word from you was "thwarted" which is fun to say!
So the new and improved ideas, need to bypass that inconvenience by letting them think that they came up with it and it's their idea. Conning cons isn't as hard as it sounds.

That's more or less how it was running, but the leaders of both parties recognized it as a threat to their privileged position and each is in strong opposition. We had a ballot initiative in CO to implement the system for state election. Governor Polis supported it. Initially it was polling 60-70% approval. Both the Democrats and the Republicans came out against it and started running adds with a bunch of nonsense fear mongering, and voters fell in line.

Why do you think that they were afraid of that?

Why do you think that they were afraid of that?
Because it does away with lesser-of-two-evils (aka "strategic") voting. And they've come to rely on that to maintain power. They had other excuses, of course. The Republicans claimed it was a trick by Democrats to institute single party rule. The Democrats claimed it was a trick by rich people to control elections.

That sounds like a ball of confusion.

Figure out how to beat that.
I'm not sure it's possible. The two-parties have engrained themselves into government and control the election process. Until, and unless, voters finally grow some backbone and simply say "no", it's not going to change.

So, what's your angle? Where are you going with this?

Voters are nice, but not necessarily bright. That doesn't mean that you can't reach them. Brightly colored caps seem to do well.
I'm going nowhere fast.

In other words, you can't answer my question. The next time you go to a department store look where nearly everything is made. it is made in China. Now what do you think will happen when Trump puts a 60% tariff on that stuff? The price for American consumers will go way up. That sirrah is inflation. It will be so fast and obvious that the poorly educated people Trump pretends to love will notice it right away.
What would really happen is what usually happens. Americans start buying American. There are perfectly good clothing makers in this country.

We lost because we ran a woman candidate. When will the GOP run one?
I (a male), have long considered myself an independent voter, voted for Trump in 2020 and this year, but had a woman been chosen as the republican party candidate, would have had no problem voting for a female candidate, as long as the female candidate was one of the following:
1. Kristi Noem.
2. Condoleeza Rice.
3. Lauren Boebert.
4. Winsome Sears.
5. Ana Paulina Luna.

Making Chinese goods more expensive will encourage American manufacturers to raise the price of American goods. In each case we will have inflation to an extent not seen during the Biden administration.
