Actually, that's a stupid comment. Nancy Pelosi didn't want to jail people for not buying Obamacare. Because there was no Obamacare to buy.
Why wasn't there?

It's a video. No, I don't have to play into your use of taken out of context bs.
You're the idiot. The government can create all the rules it likes. If Capital refuses to invest and goes elsewhere not a dime is made. Look at the sixties and seventies, industry went overseas to avoid burdensome governmental regulations and Detroit, and the Rust Belt were the result. Shipbuilding is another example as is maritime shipping. When was the last time you saw an American flagged merchant ship? There are fewer than 45,000 American flagged merchant vessels remaining afloat and most of them are towed barges. You right wingers don't know squat. The government can create wealth. The government makes the rules of commerce idiot. Where do the people who have government jobs spend their money fool?
IN AMERICA!
Those jobs help the economy dumb ass.
Every cent a civil service worker is paid is taken from a productive taxpayer. They are a net loss, not a net gain. The government makes the rules of commerce idiot. Civil service workers are consumers. They buy homes, they buy cars, they buy clothes, they buy groceries, etc. Their money goes into the economy and that money helps create wealth. You right wingers have been wrong about every economic matter for at least 45 years. Spare us your opinion on what grows wealth because you don't know.
That sounds real nice. I think the entire country should work for the government. The government makes the rules of commerce idiot. Civil service workers are consumers. Yes there was, WTF are you talking about? It was one of the most pathetic SC rulings in history. Roberts rewrote the fine to be a tax, a tax only people that don’t buy government mandated healthcare have to pay. Thankfully Trump ended that bullshit. There was no fine or jail
We could all just sit around making rules for the productive people that don’t exist. What could go wrong? That sounds real nice. I think the entire country should work for the government.
We'd all be rich. Lol.
When I first started reading your OP I was screaming inside--oh NO, he's gone to the dark side!!!"It’s that latter fact of life that really spells doom for the abundance agenda. What we’re learning in real time is that the civil service is one of the country’s most important engines of prosperity: It keeps the country’s gears spinning, all while keeping us safe and spreading wealth to communities. Every government agency that’s torn down to the joists is going to put a huge dent in our productive capacity. Every canceled government grant is a hole torn in the fabric of the future. Every fired federal worker is a post left unattended. Without key agencies like the CDC and the USDA running properly, Americans will simply die sooner and sicken more often, further kneecapping our workforce."

The Fight for the Post-Trump Future Has Already Begun
How Democrats choose to confront DOGE’s corrupt destruction today will determine whether America recovers—and who will lead that recovery.newrepublic.com
Progressive morons really think that the government creates wealth. Some government is necessary, but too big a government doesn't mean even more prosperity.
When I first started reading your OP I was screaming inside--oh NO, he's gone to the dark side!!!
But you fixed it with your comments on the quoted portion.
The progressive nutjobs honestly believe the government should own and control everything including all resources used by the people. They believe government will spend our money more effectively and wisely than we will spend it ourselves. and can govern us more competently than we will govern ourselves.
Of course history shoots down that theory through all the recorded human experience, but then progressives have never been much for studying history or for having good reading comprehension. They are far more likely to just parrot the dishonest assigned talking points they see on the leftist MSM, in memes, and selective quotes. Critical thinking and/or intellectual honesty just isn't much in their wheelhouse.
Every government worker is a leech on the taxpayer. They should be kept to a minimum.Every dime Civil Service "workers" get is from taxpayer dollars. What you have never understood is that there is no federal government money tree that provides money at no cost to anyone. Every cent the federal government (or government at any level for that matter) has was forcibly seized from taxpayers who could utilize that money far more efficiently.
Yeah, starting with the fact that they don't pay any taxes. They take MY money and pretend to pay taxes with MY money. There are a few problems with the premise that government workers are a big part of the economy.
Leftard authoritarianism. Perfect example.Yet there was a fine for not buying it. And jail if you refused to pay it.
It’s crazy how they act like they’re tax payers when their entire income is tax money.Yeah, starting with the fact that they don't pay any taxes. They take MY money and pretend to pay taxes with MY money.
Weapons salesHow?
Weapons sales
Neither.Who makes the F-35? The Air Force or the Navy/Marine Corps?
Just like the presidentEvery cent a civil service worker is paid is taken from a productive taxpayer. They are a net loss, not a net gain.
That's one salary, not thousands. Trump's not taking one. It's not about money for him.Just like the president
Trump takes a salary for his job, he has to by law. What he does with it is his business. Trump is all about the money. That's one salary, not thousands. Trump's not taking one. It's not about money for him.
