However, since they've adopted the "Spend tons of cash, steal everyone else's players" strategy, trying to buy championships, they've been a dismal failure. Why do I say that? Let's go year by year:

What a laughably horrible, inefficient, long list of choke jobs by a team that tried to buy their way into more Championships.

So many 1st round exits, so many gag jobs.. they are the biggest choke artists in sports history as far as the amount of resources they've spent and the results they've attained.

They say they have to live within a budget.

But WINNING is not in it, it's about MORE FUCKING profit.

This is exactly why I despise the Ultra Rich.

The fact that you barged in with content that has nothing to do with the original topic and are now angry that it's not embraced is something I can't control. This thread is about the Yankees, their spending, and their clear failure. While you’re at it, add the late 1990s to your list. Yanks won it all in 96, 98, 99, and 2000. That’s 5 titles in 28 years. I’m fairly sure only one non-Yanks team can match that percentage in a 28 year stretch.
