Zone1 the Catholic Church in Europe has fewer and fewer priests

Europe may have fewer and fewer priests, but they also have fewer and fewer Catholics The key stat here isn't the gross # of priests in a country, but the # of priests per Roman Catholic citizens.

I have heard the stat that says only 5% of Italian Catholics actually attend Mass.

So who needs priests?

Send them to the US, where attendance is growing! The small parish near me has 16 new members, and about 40 confirmations. My parish has confirmed a half dozen in the last year, and our coming confirmation class is so much bigger!

what to do?

1 allow priests to marry
2 allow women to become priests

Else they must import priests from India etc
