I buy my cars used and keep them for many years. I have friends that will go through half a dozen different cars in the same time period I go through one.

I do now, the first 10 cars on my list were before I was 25. I constantly traded cars, mostly private sale.
In the last 16 years I have bought 4, but really two sets. One for me, and one for the wife.

I agree. Every Chevrolet I owned was crap.
The most reliable cars I have owned is the Ford F150 and the Ford Explorer... which now has over 180,000 miles and still runs like it is new. And everything still works... even the power seats etc.

Too many to note. Favorite was the 1957 Chevy 210. My dad sold it when I went on active duty. After that I bought three used vans that I converted into campers. Then it was minivans with my wife and two kids; she used it most of the time, and I purchased several cars for work. Now we own two E-Cars: Chevy Bolt and Tesla Model 3.

I kept our 96 Explorer for about 12 years, 212K and sold it to the kid. She drove it for another 20K before trading. I drove the 89 F250 for 23 years and sold it to my sister and she is still driving it--only has about 87K ORIGINAL miles.
