I've not done all that much research on them other than I'm pretty sure they are real and not repros. Supposedly they were officer's swords.

Both are dated 1945 and from the same factory....No idea of the factory.

Neither must have been issued as both retain their factory edges. No unit markings. The only difference is in inspector's markings.

Yeah, I've determined that too, I've already had two offers from members on other blade forums to buy them....See what arf is missing out on. ;)

Here is a picture of the handle of a reproduction of that same sword. Notice the detail isn't as fine as yours..

Here's another cheapo that sold on Ebay for $135..

Here's one being pawned off on Ebay as being "WW2 era", but it doesn't have any of the markings yours has:

WW2 Soviet Russian cavalry shashka M1927 cossack sword | eBay

From what I could find, the "HM3" marking is also found on other Russian edged weapons.

WW2 Russian Navy Dress Dagger?

Original Soviet Russian WWII Naval Dagger with Scabbard and Waist Belt - Dated 1945

LOL....That HM3 marking on that IMA dagger looks sketchy as shit. Looks like someone tried enhancing the proper stamp with a EP....... On one of my swords the HM3 marking is stamped kinda light, the other much deeper.

FYI.....In collector circles IMA is also considered sketchy as shit. One guy calls them the Mitchell's Mausers of mil-surp collectables. ;)

The Red Army did not issue swords in 1945, Those are fakes.

I couldn't find anything on the HM3, but that is the factory code. The markings on this sword I found are as follows:

ЗИК(Златоустовский инструментальный комбинат) 1940 - Zlatoust Instrumental Factory 1940
ГМ - assembly stamp
15кг - steel hardness test stamp
