I am pretty well off and retired. I am not at the bottom rung of anyone's ladder. This is another example of the RWers not being able to discuss a topic without stereotyping anyone who is not exactly like them. In the conservative bowels of the noise machine everyone else (who is not mindlessly conservative) has some sort of character flaw, dumb, lazy, on welfare, just want free stuff etc, but you don't have the intellectual capacity to discuss topics with someone who simply disagrees with you. The payments were something like $300 a month, and NO DESCENDANTS of Holocaust victims that I knew, including my own family, ever got money - or sought it out.

You are talking about, perhaps, the surviving generation who witnessed horrific things and suffered direct loss. NOT people who are four and five generations removed from people they never even met or knew.

Sorry, but blacks have been made whole by two generations of favoritism. If having your grandparent given special privilege to attend an Ivy League college, and then your father given the same privilege, and YOU still need special privilege to get in as well, then it’s your own fault.
