I love my ebike. Clean, quiet and I can ride on thousands of miles of trails motorized vehicles can’t.

My friends with normal bikes tell me how they ride 20 miles. I ride 60 miles or more.

If I took you on a ride you’d be hooked. But could you afford one? That’s the other thing. It’s a new product and good for the economy

If someone wants to drive an electric car, I say go for it. If someone wants to tell me I have to drive an electric car, they can go stuff themselves.

I am religious, by my religion, and that of my family for thousands of years, also believes in a personal responsibility and forcing anyone to accept my personal religious beliefs in anathema to my fellow co-religionists. Someone else's moral decisions are between them and their own deity. It is no business of mine.

Do I care about people other than myself? Not enough to tell anyone how to live their life and not enough to feel responsible for the decisions they make. All the worst things that have happened in human history from genocides to ethnic cleansing are always for the best of reasons: for liberation or manifest destiny. Always against tyranny and always in the interest of humanity. Just ask the people who perpetrate them.

Since I have no way of knowing how my actions personal actions will affect the human race in 1,000 or 10,000, or a million years from now, I will lose absolutely zero sleep over that. No those are those 21 speed bikes. They don't like the bike paths. Too bumpy. So they ride on the road even when they don't have to. There are only a couple places we go where we have to ride on the road for a minute to get to the next section of trails. I like being off the road thank you.

There are some great trails 3 miles from my home but I would have to ride on the road for about a mile. So instead I go 20 miles out of my way. That would suck except 20 miles is nothing to me on a e bike. To a regular biker, that would be their entire ride. I'm going to petition my city or whatever city that is to put a 2 lane bike path going over the expressway. They've put bike paths everywhere else this is like the one place in Metro Detroit that isn't bike friendly. There's 6 lanes three going each way right over the express way. You think they could have put one fucking bike lane in.
