Zone1 The Best Evidence For The Resurrection

Perhaps you should consider where the word "HiSTORY" gets its meaning.
Perhaps you should. It is from the Greek and means to inquire.
The story is that he ("Jesus") was "worshipped" from birth.
It is precisely that, a story.
That is the part you denied.

I'm not chasing you down the rabbit hole for any of the rest that you are now trying to drag into it.
You evidently are unaware of known historical facts from 4 BCE to 6 CE in that region.

Not interested.

Maybe an actual practicing Christian will argue these points with you.

I shared my observation.

There is, at the very ******* least, evidence via tradition that Jesus was "worshiped" even at birth.

It's a stupid ******* argument to have, anyway.

Then why the need to give your ten cents' worth?

Glad we agree

Should I? He was a lawyer.
Lionel Luckhoo was also an atheist. Someone asked him to review all the accounts of the resurrection and give his opinion on whether this testimony would stand up in court.
I am glad that those beliefs give you comfort.
I am a substitute teacher for middle school students. After a particularly hard day, including being sprayed with vomit, can I count on you to assure me that you are glad substitute teaching gives me comfort? How about when at home when I am scrubbing floors, washing windows, mowing the lawn, pruning trees and bushes and then repairing the sprinkler system (lots of mud and cold water)?

Where did you come up with the idea that belief in God is merely for comfort?! (Just curious)

Did three "wise men" show up unannounced at YOUR birth?

the magi were sent to protect mary - not jesus.

mary and joseph did not fear moses, their false commandments or judaism and found their place in the heavens for their bravery and later the same for jesus and mary m all four were made heavenly exemplars and the notation for the advent of the 1st century events ...

the heavens sent the magi to protect mary from the stone throwing jews ... the reason they both survived during their journey.

Neat story.

It doesn't disprove the traditional reality that Jesus has been celebrated and worshiped from the point of his birth, by those who believe he is the "son of god."

Why such an effort to prove otherwise?

The first Amendment says we are all free to believe as we want to. So, what the **** does anyone care what anyone else believes about it?

Don't bother with an answer, because unless and until you do away with the 1st Amendment, I don't have to consider your take on it, any more than I would Billy Graham's take on it.

no the amendment does authenticate beliefs that are not appropriate ...

why that amendment is written stems from the religious persecution taking place in europe during that time to prevent the same in the new world and is relevant for the purpose religion represent the truth and not misconstrued for tyrannical purposes.

odd chuz speaks of choice as an opponent to woman and their freedom to live their own lives as they see fit - typical desert dweller who claims agnosticism and then argues christian.

You can't quote where I said anything about authentication.

Individual belief does not a tyranny make.

odd chuz speaks of choice as an opponent to woman and their freedom to live their own lives as they see fit -

If children were being killed as a result of anyone believing in "the resurrection," you might have had a point.

As it is, no children are harmed by the choice to believe in the resurrection.

The record shows that I've only argued for the right to believe as anyone wants to. Not on any of the validity or merits of any one religion over another.

And from my reading he subsequently accepted the story as reality and seems to have been converted as a result.

Surely your religion comforts you with the belief that whatever misfortunes this world inflicts upon you, you will enjoy an eternity free from such experiences and concerns?
