Social Insecurity - now increased with Trump in office

Social security is heading into bankruptcy within 4 years and there is little that can be done, especially with Trump being in office and caring so little for Welfare (and Americans in general) and not likely to do "anything" about it.

This will affect all Americans at some point, even if you are not yet on Social Security (under 65 years of age).

One point made in the study that personally affects me is that life expectancy in the U.S. is now 83 years of age. I turn 81 in a few weeks, suggesting that I may only have 2 more years to live.

We are starting on GenX retirement soon. Many have already have disabilities.

This is what happens with open borders and giving away SSDI to EVERY immigrant legal or otherwise.

As every election cycle nears, the Left accuses the Republicans of wanting to "take away your Social Security," "cut your benefits," and other such rubbish. This year, it's "The System IS GOING BANKRUPT because Republicans [fill in the blank]!" Never mind that if the system did go bankrupt, benefits would not stop; they would merely be reduced by about 20%. Billions are still pouring into the System every month, eh?

The so-called "trust fund" will not be depleted - not now, not ever. Because Congress, which has the job of not allowing it to be depleted, knows that old bastards like me vote, in huge numbers. And if it is allowed to run dry, every fcuking Congressman in office will be voted out.

The solutions are obvious, but must be detailed. The cap on earnings will be raised significantly, but probably not eliminated altogether. After all, if there is a a maximum BENEFIT - which there is - then there should be a maximum CONTRIBUTION.

The retirement ages will go up by a few months, which is entirely reasonable given the dramatic improvements in life expectancy resulting from miracles in pharmaceutical treatments.

Honestly, if you worry about SS going away, you need to educate yourself. Don't worry; be happy. Social Security is a hell of a good deal for most people, and if it is not for YOU, then you have died prematurely, in which case you don't care.

SS is a ponzi and will always run out of money. Trump has nothing to do with it. Private sector jobs are increasing and that helps fund SS. Trump has no plan to lower the separate SS tax. Trump lowers the income tax which strengthens the economy.
