President Bush has increased government spending (albeit in part to pay for activities in Afganistan and Iraq), and reduced tax cuts, primarily for higher earning individuals. Little in his domestic economic policies appears to benefit working Americans. Is the fervent support the current administration enjoys among many working families solely the result of his international initiatives and cultural stances (i.e., gay marriage ban), or do working families continue to believe that he is advancing their interests?
