The Anti Abortion Abolitionist Movement Is Dangerous. Here's What You Need To Know

June Medical Services v. Russo, the Supreme Court case regarding Louisiana’s 2014 admitting privileges law, has serious ramifications for the future of abortion rights in the United States. But there is a segment of the anti-abortion movement that doesn’t appear all that concerned with the outcome. If this seems odd, it’s because they never saw Roe v. Wade as a valid ruling, they don’t view the Supreme Court as a legitimate legal authority, and they dismiss the foundation of the Constitution.

Say hello to the so-called “abolitionist” movement, comprised of white men who say the pro-life movement is too secular, abortion constitutes homicide, and that people seeking abortion care should be criminalized and subject to the death penalty.

The anti-abortion abolitionist movement is dangerous. Here's what you need to know

The single biggest threat to America. It looks like harsher measures are going to have to be implemented to protect the country from these freaks.

It's no different than the sanctuary city movement.

Just ignore federal laws and ruling you don't agree with, the democrats have perfected this so it was only a matter of time before others took the same approach.

The difference is, of course, that those who oppose Progressive laws and rulings will be held to account as where Progressives will continue to be allowed to thumb their noses at laws they don't like.

Understand?

You are not "pro-life", you're anti-abortion. If you were pro-life, you'd want universal health care for the mother and the child. . .

Well it's about time. Somebody finally acknowledges there is a difference.

Even with your fucked up opinion about the minimum requirements forbwhat it takes to be pro-life. . . That's progress baby!

You are not "pro-life", you're anti-abortion. If you were pro-life, you'd want universal health care for the mother and the child. You'd want a quality education, for the child, and good nutrition. Life is more than breathing. It's having food, shelter, and security. It's parents knowing they can meet their child's needs. It's the opportunity to make the most of your talents.

The USA is not providing these things for working families.

IMO R v W is a wedge issue which right wing dirt bags use with the upmost hypocrisy. They don't give a rat's ass once the child is born as can be seen in each of the bullet points so well stated in the post above.

What they're doing is to designate this healthcare/poverty issue as a "moral cause", to slut shame women and paint them as morally corrupt and incapable of making decisions about their own lives. Since women are so lacking in morals that they carelessly got pregnant, they can mandate unnecessary tests on women, force them to have an ultrasound (rape with a foreign object), and to heap other abuses on them, because poor dears should really KNOW what it is that they're doing - murdering a child.

They can also charge the women for performing these tests thereby increasing the costs so that an abortion becomes financially out reach, thus "saving" more babies. The same thing can be said about "waiting periods", and no in state abortion clinics. Since most women are getting an abortion for financial reasons, layering on the unnecessary medical tests, costs of travel, taking time off work for the "waiting period", costs for accommodations and meals during the waiting period, to the medical costs of the surgical procedure, means that the poorest of women are having children they cannot afford and ending up much worse off for their inability to terminate the pregnancy.

All while right wingers gloat about all of the babies they've "saved".

Domestic Violence occurs in many ways, and keeping a wife or SO financially dependent is a common tactic of abusers. They will separate their wife or SO from friends and families, and many prevent them from using contraceptives, knowing that a women with child and without resources will do whatever the abuser wants.

At times desperate women who become pregnant by an abuser have no other choice, they seek an abortion to prevent the abuse of a child. Some abuser are so F'd up they are jealous of children and even pets. One A-Hole we were able to send to St Prison had killed his SO's pet cat. He was sent to prison for a 90 day psychiatric evaluation, and when he returned to court with a negative evaluation he got the aggravated time for his conviction of DV (273.5), four years in the St Prison.

you are correct to a certain point,,

unless they are lied to and dont [sic] know the difference or exactly what they are killing,,,

In modern times, with modern technology and modern availability of information, there is really no excuse not to know what abortion really is. Willfully blinding one's self doesn't make a valid excuse of the resulting ignorance.

Young women are constantly being lied to, about their bodies, by the left.

Your statement is downright obscene, because enforced ignorance is obscene. The people whom you call "the left," give full factual information to young women, not the fantasy mumbo-jumbo of the cults. Refer to Our Bodies, Ourselves, by the Boston Women's Health Collective,
Our Bodies Ourselves

It is the full owner's manual for the female body, kind of like the Chilton's for cars, if you can remember. I have given copies of this book to many young women so that they can understand what they are dealing with in real life.

Why do you call factual information a lie? What do you want hidden and why?

I'm calling your bluff.

Quote the exact wording of the book, where it informs women that it is another human being / child that they are carrying in their womb, during their pregnancies.

This is a manual that is written to communicate factual information to women. It is not intended to promote somebody's political agenda. Of course it would not contain statements of religious/philosophical opinions held by some people. They have certainly published their views themselves on many occasions.

Those who insist that abortion is murder but don't go stop it are self admitted accomplices.

Ireland was one of the only western countries with replacement birth rate - that can't be allowed we must DESTROY the west... was because they have now cancelled their abortion ban.

Fuck the OP in the ass.

Childish names don't accomplish anything. Everyone knows biology 101, except for the male idiot who thought that a woman's reproductive system could be examined if she swallowed a small camera.

The book covers everything from basic anatomy, menstruation, sexual activities, pregnancy, abortion, menopause, even senior sex. Every female person should have a copy, particularly since we are so often exposed to deliberate misinformation, sometimes by government.

Some of the replies on this thread are truly appalling. And I'm only half-way through reading this.

This shit right here is why the disingenuous lying libroidal asshole movement is dangerous.

Even many leftist pro abortion lawyers agree that Roe is bad law.....Invoking the pious "they dismiss the foundation of the Constitution" bullshit is beyond fraudulent, especially so coming from fifth columnist subversives who seek to undermine the document at virtually every other turn.

But another three-fiddy for the OP from his corporate paymasters at Daily Kooks, so it's all good...

Proving once again that those on the right and the current iteration of "conservatives" are bigger statists than any of those on the left or any progressive will ever be.
I've never seen a group of people (right wingers) so ready to have the government and the courts implement their will and belief systems on the public at large.

I've always been of the opinion that the right wing in this country constitutes the single greatest threat to democracy and freedom.
Wow, so your opinion has been wrong all this time. Good to know.

Do you equate forcing the labor of someone to provide a service a measure of pro-life?

Wow.

Opposing bad government regulations is in no way anti-pro life.

There is no anti-abortion movement. Defending the life of the most vulnerable is the right thing to do.
