The Abbott and Costello description of the world economy. Except it isn't actually a joke.

From 11 years ago mind you..

How much does Greece owe?
$367 billion dollars to other European economies.

How much does Ireland owe?
$865 billion mainly to other European economies.

How much does Italy and Spain owe?
1 trillion dollars each. Mainly to France Britain and Germany.

How are France Britain and Germany doing right now?

Struggling quite a bit..

Cause they lent vast amounts of money to countries that cannot possibly pay them back.

So, what are they going to do?

..........

During the 1940's, Germany sought to enslave Europe with military attacks under their late Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler.

Merkel is correcting the mistake of her predecessor, by referring to the Holy Scriptures in Proverbs 22:7

“The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave of the lender.”

Mr. Hitler failed but Frau Merkel is succeeding with her blitzreig of predatory lending practices, and will be able to take over Europe without firing a shot.

The Islamic Republic of Germany?

It's called "Loan Sharking" by the sound of it. I did not know anything about it until this post you enlightened us with. All three of the countries that you listed, France, Britain and Germany have quite a history of dabbling in the religion of the statist left(communalism/socialism & a host of other titles that fall under the heading of elitism. Actually, modern day Europe as a whole is lost in my opinion to g'ment idolatry. Our USA would be better off just to write off Europe to their own fate. That European continent cost the world taxpayers a FORTUNE to try & save Europe from two world wars. Let the Europeans do what they do best: kill themselves by the numbers.

On a happier note, I like your handle!!! I once owned(purchased) a Short Eared Owl in the early 70's from a pet store on N. Division St. in Spokane Wa. The poor lil' guy had been scatter gunned which partially disabled his left wing. The owner found him hobbling around on the ground just off the road he was travelling on in Lincoln county. He was able to use a fish net to catch the owl which he obviously did, then abandoned his fishing adventure to take the owl back home. The owl(I named him Barney) had only been there a couple of days when I came across him. I asked the owner if birds of prey are legal to purchase & he replied sharply "NO, but if someone does not purchase him shortly I will have to do the unthinkable to him to avoid a possible fine or worse." He was asking $125.00 for Barney so I countered with $75.00 & a promise & handshake to take Barney straight to my sisters vet, which I did. The below link is eerily IDENTICAL to what my Barney looked like.

Barney lived on for eight years as a "house owl". He simply adapted to a higher standard of living as everything including attention/affection & meals galore made Barney a 'retired' owl(VERY popular with all who visited him). I thought the below link may make an interesting avatar for your handle!

The 3rd picture top row(olive green background) is IDENTICAL to what Barney looked like. Take care, till next time!

The question was..

"How can broke economies lend money to other broke economies, who haven't got any money, because they can't pay back the money the broke economy lent to the other broke economy, and shouldn't have lent it to them in the first place because the broke economy cannot pay it back?"
