The 56 Year Crisis Of Treasonous Illegitimate GOP Presidents Is Happening Again

Once again, America and the world are watching with horror as a Republican candidate for president — just to win an election — manipulates world affairs in a way that will cause widespread death and destruction while damaging the interests and reputation of America.

There’s a long tradition of Republicans running for president committing what can best called treason, or at least criminal manipulation of international affairs, to advantage themselves and hurt incumbent Democratic presidents.

Yesterday, Mitch McConnell let the proverbial cat out of the bag. A bipartisan group of senators had been working on a bill to provide funding to Ukraine and Israel, with money for the southern border, and when it looked like they were going to produce something that would actually pass the House and Senate, Donald Trump inserted himself, telling the Republicans they should kill the bill.

Trump apparently wants to run on chaos at the border, and solving the problem as this legislation is intended to do would take that issue away from him. But he’s also explicitly opposed to any further US aid to Ukraine. This is a treasonous twofer, putting Trump’s election above the interests of the United States and world peace.

I'm sure his buddy Vladimir will pitch in a few bucks to help out with his legal bills. And his campaign. Like last time. Now we know how much he got for all of those secrets he stole.
Anything for power. They don't care who get hurt or how many people die.

I view those who support the globalist establishment as the "good Germans." Most Western citizens in general seem to fit that with their voting habits and lack of consistent principles.
Because our blue collar workers made more than anywhere on earth, we were the only country who didn’t protect its most vital industries. To break unions and reneg on pensions, the corporations went bankrupt on purpose then moved plants to Mexico.

Remember in the 2000s republicans were at war with unions. It made it easier to ship jobs overseas.

I always said why not Oklahoma instead of Mexico? Or Alabama.

Republicans have to pretend they like trump for either 10 months or 4 years and 10 months.

They risk being taken down in the general election but go against trump now maga won’t vote for you either.

It depends on the type of protectionism you create as to whether it works or not. The regulations that require a certain percentage of auto assembly here to evade tariffs make sense. This has resulted in plants from various companies like BMW and Toyota being placed here with thousands of good paying jobs.

Unions, on the other hand, are not good. They are the reason GM workers are overpaid and result in overpriced trucks, for example. This hurts consumers more than anyone else.

The workers at Toyota plants still get paid well, but they aren't unionized. This allows the company to still make a great product at a price proportionate to that quality.

Fine but Toyota has calculated how much they have to pay without the employees unionizing. Unions bring that wage up. Big Three workers all got raises last year. Eventually so will Toyota workers.

Youre welcome.

Assisted living employees who were unionized all got raises last year. I’m sure non unionized workers will eventually see an increase in their wages. If not, form a union. Or go work for a unionized caregiver.

Writers, casino workers.

yea yea. They’ll pass it on to consumers. Or, the ceo won’t get as much

Did your non union company give you a contract like Aaron Rogers got? Where if you get hurt on day one they have to pay you for a year? Thank a union Aaron.

It is true that the threat of unionizing is leverage, but as far as the unions go, their effects on the auto industry, particularly with trucks, is that all businesses and services that involve using those trucks cost more. This is a trickle-down inflation effect that makes the rest of society pay more for all sorts of things.

I wouldn't care as much about this if the government actually allowed us to import foreign trucks more. You can get good condition small trucks from Japan for very cheap, but currently, we're only allowed to import ones that are 25 years old or older. Most other countries allow the importation of these small trucks, and it would help so many small businesses out.

You can dismiss the effects on consumers, but that doesn't make them irrelevant.

I don’t care. I see the value of labor having a seat at the table.

I know big 3 workers in the 80s and 90s were too much. And this recent wage may seem like too much. But fuck that. You can’t afford a ford, buy Toyota. We all know someone who gets us the a plan. So for me it’s cheaper to buy ford.

You buy Toyota. We’re all happy

Biden and Democrats WRECK the border, then pathetically try to blame Trump who isn't even in office when this blows up in their face. Under Biden and Dem leadership half the governors in the country have staged a revolt, disgusted with Biden not doing his job.
Hey idiot. Trump is blowing up a bipartisan bill that will address the border mess. And at the same time that motherfucker is throwing our ALLY Ukraine under the bus to enact revenge on Zelensky.

Republicans know what that cocksucker Trump is up to but they're too gutless to do do anything about it.

Now you can click your heels for your that psychopath.

The NFL is an interesting example to use. The players are unionized, but the league itself is mostly exempt from antitrust laws. Add to this the fact that most of the teams have had stadiums built with mostly public money, yet the profits go to private companies.

In short, the NFL is the epitome of an industry that has benefited from statism and collectivism at the expense of taxpayers.

Hopefully enough republicans who are not up for re election this year will go along with democrats.

If the government didn't bail out the Big 3 periodically, I'd be less critical of the unions.

Zelensky isn't an ally to America. He's an ally to Western elites that need someone to launder money for them.

I read an op Ed that it’s worth it. Yes, prices go up if you buy American. quit stating the obvious.
Buying American isn't the issue. As I stated earlier, plenty of Toyotas are "American". The only thing that makes the Big 3 more American is the ownership, but as we've seen in the last few decades, foreign ownership has generally been more prudent.
