Stonewallers in Congress have been..... well..... stonewalling our two-term, Democratic President when it comes to protecting the air we breathe & water we drink so 44 had to take matters into his own able hands

Obama's boldest move on carbon comes with perils
(snip):
The rule will tap executive powers to tackle the single largest source of the pollution blamed for heating the planet: carbon dioxide emitted from power plants. They produce about 40 percent of the electricity in the nation and about one-third of the carbon pollution that makes the U.S. the second largest emitter of greenhouse gases.

"There are no national limits to the amount of carbon pollution that existing plants can pump into the air we breathe. None," Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address.

"We limit the amount of toxic chemicals like mercury, sulfur, and arsenic that power plants put in our air and water. But they can dump unlimited amounts of carbon pollution into the air. It's not smart, it's not safe, and it doesn't make sense," he said.

We know that Republicorp will do nothing that cuts into their paymasters profit-margins so bravo Mr. President for putting the health of this great nation's people above some CEO at some GHG- producing company.

So, when did you begin to favor doing away with the legislature and promoting the President to Monarch?

This is awful.
More Job losses, utility costs going up for the poor and lower middle class.
Needless high costs on law suits.
Just terrific.
Thank you Mr. Dictator in Chief.

In India businesses quickly adapted to having electricity available only for a few hours a day. Some by laying off entire shifts and whipping the horses harder to make up lost production during the brief periods when the lights were on. Others by moving to other countries.

It will be interesting to see which method will be preferred in Obamerica.

Hopefully this will be the idea that drives Democrat out to the Wilderness for the next 200 years

This is not a new law, which would have been lawfully passed by congress first.

This is ruling by edict.

Instructive that you cheer the kind of autocratic tyranny that led to the Revolutionary War, for no better reason than that it is your team doing the dictating.

How do you expect seniors living on fixed income to pay their heating bills?

You are going to get people killed!

Poor Dotty Dottie.....has been indoctrinated sufficiently to believe that an Executive Order by a dictator wannabe is an actual LAW.

Dot is a fucking mental midget, however, unless congress decides to grow a pair, this may as well be a law.

Ever heard of LIHEAP? Ryan (R) has:

The Ryan Budget Shows What Republicans Want to do to America
The Ryan/GOP even cuts the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which Ryan says is being “abused.” Could it be that Ryan is as outraged as Fox News anchor Stuart Varney that states are continuing to help the poor feed themselves by tying food stamp eligibility to home heating assistance, making more low-income families eligible for food stamps? Is formulating an end run around Republican cuts to food stamps and continuing to feed the poor “abuse”? It is, if you’re a Republican.
