Look at the facts. Texas is among the top in trashy views about others in the nation if you really want to know and will continue to be seen in that light and it is due to its stance on appearing to want to be known as being so superior over others who may be different from them and for whom they love. Look at how they also feel about Blacks in Texas and about women and other minorities. There is another story posted to this website about how some in the GOP feel about Blacks in Texas too. At a time when Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been eliminated and Gay and Lesbian military people are now openly serving with their Straight counterparts without any adverse incidents and when virtually all judges in the nation are overwhelmingly ruling IN FAVOR of Same-Sex Marriage, Texas has to come out with this crap! It is truly outrageous and despicable and that is why Texas and the South are seen as still inferior to many and still living with Middle Age mentality. And until they change their stance on these issues and their treatment of minority citizens they will continue to be seen as a backward state with backward views and ideas and a cold heart against others.

**Although the world has vastly expanded since the last 100 years, there may not be more Gays today than 100 years ago because Gays have Always existed! The problem has been that society would not allow them to be open about who they are and whom they love. Today, that is changing. Many big name celebrities as well as others are coming out and openly expressing that they are Gay or Lesbian and even introducing themselves with their chosen partners. As to genetics, yes, many feel that plays an important role in a person's sexual orientation. It, in effect, has to! Please see the following:

Of course there is more acceptance today than 100 years ago when people didn't even dare say the word "sex" let alone "homosexuality." Today, they can say those words and many others without the blink of an eye anywhere they are, be it in church, at school, on television, on the radio, etc. So, attitudes are changing but there is still much work left to be done to eliminate the prejudice and discrimination attached to same-sex oriented individuals which has become so pervasive in many parts.

Yes, and how "unfortunate" it was for Mr. Brat in Virginia that he came out to voters as more conservative on issues such as gay marriage than his rival Mr. Cantor.

Only 3 states are legally allowing "gay marriage". The rest you cite as "1/3" are not allowing it. They are being forced against their duly enacted law to say they are allowing it. The majority rules on behaviors in this country. And unless you can prove the very limited and exclusive club of 'LGBT' behaviors are a race of people, American law cannot be turned on its head by setting a precedent of protecting a certain select group of people's behaviors that the majority of this country contsistently line up in opposition to.

What behaviors objectionable to the majority will have to be allowed to follow that precedent next?

As to conversion therapy, Texas is saying that whatever a child wants for himself is between him or her and their therapist. Imagine a state removing itself from the free speech between a professional therapist and his client??! I know you're used to fascism and this rattles you. But victims of same-gendered molestation deserve the right to carve their own sexual identities free of influences of their tortured past.

Meanwhile not one effort is spared from the cult of LGBT to provide bridges, , counseling, coercion, "coming out" and "bi-curious" parties for straight kids. Only a one-way valve into the cult, but never back out of it eh?

Same-sex marriage has not been "forced" on an unwilling public. Citizens who are Gay or Lesbian and who work, pay their taxes, raise children or adopt them, who attend church and who vote just like you do, are simply asking for Equal rights, not "special" rights. They simply want what everyone else has and those citizens deserve that much. And they are open about it just as Blacks had to be open about obtaining their civil rights in the Fifties and early Sixties and why they refused to sit at the back of the bus and took to the streets in demonstrations. Had they not been so open they still would not have received their civil rights. The same with Gays. They have to be open about it but only because society, in effect, has been the one that has forced them to be so open by not being more reasonable such as to grant them their civil and human rights to be who they are without their having to demonstrate so openly in order to call attention to this important matter for them.

As to men being 'led' into a homosexual lifestyle early in life, that is a gross misconception. Those who are supposedly 'led' are either ready to express a part of themselves that had been repressed for a period of time or are willfully wanting to 'experiment' with a different lifestyle. Those men who feel they were 'led' to a homosexual lifestyle may have been willing participants in the beginning but if they were truly heterosexuals that is, Straight, to begin with then that is the reason they find afterward that they are not homosexual at all, as you put it. And that is why I do not believe there are people who say they were led to homosexuality and have now "miraculously" been led out of it into a straight heterosexual lifestyle. They were obviously not Gay to being with. They tried something different but since that was not the true sexual orientation they were born with they simply reverted back to who they truly are. That can only exemplify the fact that people are born either Gay or Straight. If they are Straight, it would be very difficult to think they could be 'forced' into becoming Gay. Conversely, if they were born Gay it would be even more difficult to force them to become Straight, something they were not born as. That is why this so-called Gay Conversion Therapy is being blasted and lambasted by medical professionals. Because you cannot change a person's sexual orientation through such dangerous "therapy" any more than you can change the color of a person's skin that they were born with through therapy. Let me ask you this. Do you think a person who is completely Straight and Heterosexual should be 'forced' to undergo Conversion therapy to become Gay? I think not. That is why it is so ludicrous to think that one can change a Gay person into something they are not such as Straight. It simply does not work that way. Those who may say they were changed were obviously not Gay to begin with. End of story.

Every time a court overturns a state law to that effect, the court, necessarily, forces gay marriage on an unwilling public.
