That is how long it will take for the present level of GHG's to make it's full impact felt.How are we supposed to stop mother nature? Global warming cult have some magic powers they are not telling us?
However, by shutting down the coal fired plants immediatly as we put more wind, solar, and geo-thermal on line, we can reduce the impacts after that. And, as even more clean energy comes onto line, we can shut down the gas fired plants.
However, we are going to be feeling the effects of the GHGs already in the atmosphere for centuries, therefore, rather then denial of the effects, preparing for the effects would be far wiser.
We know from prior El Nino's that one of the results is flooding in the southern states, especially Texas. As the waters are increasingly warm, and the atmosphere, also, that means more water can be delivered by the storms. And that is exactly what we are seeing.
