It is laughable that people are talking about how unreliable wind turbines are in cold weather.
If the wind turbines were maintained properly, they would have continued to generate electricity. Just like the wind turbines in Antarctica do. And I am guessing here, but I think the winter in Antarctica might be a little colder than anything that hit Texas.

Exactly.
My state has wind turbines all over the state. Those areas start to get snow in November and are bitter cold until April.
Never, not once, have those turbines ever failed.
But we properly maintain them.
