Texas Electric Board Members Live WHERE?

Non-regulated capitalist failed in Texass, no surprise there.
Complete and total lie. They are regulated by ERCOT, FERC, and NERC.

Ercot is not a government agency
ERCOT is a membership-based 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation, governed by a board of directors and subject to oversight by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Legislature.
And? They are still regulated by the same federal standards other power administrations are. It’s actually more than federal, it includes Canada and Mexico too. You should really sit down and shut up, you don’t know anything about this business.

No. The Texas electrical grid is regulated from inside Texas, but many of those regulators don't even live in Texas. They were given their positions in ERCOT as political gifts from the republican politicians.

It is laughable that people are talking about how unreliable wind turbines are in cold weather.

If the wind turbines were maintained properly, they would have continued to generate electricity. Just like the wind turbines in Antarctica do. And I am guessing here, but I think the winter in Antarctica might be a little colder than anything that hit Texas.

In other words they are run just like every Federal power administration. A bunch of high paid idiots and some political appointee morons that just want to keep the power on but never address infrastructure issues.

You have no idea how fucked up the other regions are, zero. The upper managers at these places like patting each other on the asses and giving each other bonuses. It’s about all they are good for.

Maybe they’ll rethink depending on wind power for 24% of the total power in their grid.

I agree. Since the power outage was caused by frozen gauges on gas lines and nuclear plants, and the wind turbans continue at higher output rates than projected, we should increase our dependence on wind. 24% is too low.

You got a credible source for that claim?

The windmills in Anrtica aren't oil cooled like the ones in the states. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Yep... if we could just get govt out of electrical production and operate free of those damned regulations... everything would be great. :laugh2:

Wind is unreliable all year long. You can’t spin up generation on demand if it isn’t windy outside. You’ll find yourself without power far more often than a once in 80 years freeze.
Except during the Texas power outage. Gas and nuclear filed, but wind generators worked better than expected. No, it wouldn't be a good idea to go 100% to wind power, but nobody is wanting to do that anyway.
Progs do not do that. Once an agenda is started..addenums and more addenums happen. Gasoline prices are rising...

No. I don't see other states losing power like Texas has. We are among the world's largest producers of energy, but we can't keep the lights on in cold weather. How is that like the rest of the country?

No they didn't you lying sack of shit. The wind and solar failed on a grand scale.

That’s because you’re an uninformed dolt. There are more people without power at this moment in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama than in Texas.

Out of 500,000 people with no electricity in the US Texass had 200, 000.

As of now there are less than 140,000 in Texas without power.

Windmills kill migratory birds. Pelosi lives in a taxpayer funded mansion while her constituents live on the streets in shit. NY democrats removed their relatives from nursing homes before Cuomo issued his death warrant. There is enough hypocrisy around without picking on the Texas electric board.

No, it's the truth. Even a simpleton, such as yourself, should be able to figure out that solar isn't going to work at all when it is covered by snow. I guess you are stupider than a simpleton.
