Texas Drops The Ebola Ball - Secessionist Gov Perry Calls On Cdc For Help

There is plenty of rationale for a federal level agency. Except the federal level agencies have done their best to import disease into this country.

Uhuh...

320 million US-americans.

Millions fly every day.

2 possible ebola cases and now the Right goes into spasms. You see, it's this kind of shit that makes you Righties look so incredibly ridiculous.

Had Obama instructed the FAA to restrict travel to and from certain countries, you yahoos would be screaming from the rafters that that kenyan tyrant is cutting off our liberties, yadayadayada....

Texas don't need big gubmint.....until they do

Big gubmint allowed the dood in, Texas does not administer the FAA, or immigration. I do believe the Bama administration sued states when they tried.

Do progressives think things through before posting crap?

No question we need a quarantine

Since Texas already is infected with the disease, it makes no sense to quarantine flights from Africa to Texas. We need to cordon off Texas and keep anyone from entering or leaving the state

Texas don't need big gubmint.....until they do

Ain't that the truth?

The stupid fucking hospital personnel in Dallas fumbled this so badly and now these ER idiots have blood on their hands because this man probably infected others after they sent him home.

The CDC has been warning the health care industry in this country of what to do FOR A MONTH NOW, and the stupid damn nurse ASKED the question and then didn't pass the info on! Texas does stupid like no one else.

BUT PERRY SAYS IT'S ALL UNDER CONTROL AND THE SYSTEM IS WORKING AS IT SHOULD....

Remind me AGAIN of why I wouldn't give a phlying phuck if Texas secedes!!

That's the job of the CDC. You know the Center for Denial and Confusion. No matter how bad it is, their job is to deal with diseases of mass infection.

If you want to ridicule the CDC, you might first want to educate yourself on what they do and the quality levels they employ.

They are, hands down, the best on the planet as far as dealing with infectious diseases.

Well now, remember that @Katzndogz has said he/she was a doctor, a lawyer and a dog washer so he/she really knows his/her stuff.

:rolleyes-41:

Not surprising that the usual RWs are dead set against the federal government right up until they need them.

Rick oops Perry was his usual inept embarrassing self at the press conference yesterday. All he had to do was introduce the smart people by reading from the paper in his hand and he still blew it.

The entire country can give thanks that the CDC/feds is doing their job and that the president has been proactive.

And then, "forget" to take it down ...

Ebola patient told hospital he had been to Liberia
Ebola patient told hospital he had been to Liberia
"""At a news conference Wednesday, hospital officials said a triage nurse performed the recommended screening — asking about his symptoms and his travel history — but her report wasn't communicated to the rest of his health care team. Duncan is now in serious but stable condition, according to hospital officials.

Mark Lester, executive vice president at Texas Health Resources, said the patient "volunteered that he had been to Africa in response to the nurse operating the checklist and asking that question."

That information "wasn't present" as the man's health care team made its decision about whether to admit or release him, Lester said.""""

And now Rick Perry, Uber-Secessionist for Texas, is relying on help from the CDC to get this situation under control. Bahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha.......It just doesn't get better than that.

Standard progressive tripe that federalists don't want ANY federal help. What we want is Federal help when we need it, and for them to mind their own fucking business until we do.

Oh, the irony...

Given the sheer arrogance of Rick Perry and his ignorance, MartyRerun thinks Perry is the best judge of a call like that? Bahahahahahahahaaa....

So, let Me get this straight.

The PRESIDENT drops the ball and allows infected aliens into the country with deadly diseases, allows them to land in Texas, and Texas is just supposed to sit back and allow the fuck-up of the feds to be a drain on THEIR resources?

What the President did by allowing this traveler to enter the country is an act of war on Texas and the rest of America.

The CDC does damned good work. Only a fool makes fun of the pros at the CDC.

CDC is nothing but a socialist program giving big gubmint control over the fighting of infectious disease. The Constitution says NOTHING about the Federal Government fighting disease. Therefore, the tenth amendment makes it a state function

More overreach by the federal government

Diseases can cross state lines, and something like this can sure a shit affect interstate commerce, plenty of rationale for a Federal Level Agency.

What is with the Aristotelian logic employed by statists?

Disease is commerce?

What a reach. I love the way you guys destroy our Constitution. The founding fathers said NOTHING about the Federal Government fighting disease. The 10th ammendment says that makes it a state function

When did you turn into such a statist?

The State agency is in the lead on this. All the CDC is doing is provide support, AT THE INVITATION OF THE STATE.

You think you have a "gotcha" here. You have nothing of the sort.

He makes the call to get the feds involved, its the way the system works.

And kindly cram an ebola infested screwdriver in your eyesocket, then swirl it around a bit.

The president can't be at all the airports and all the borders and all the entries into the US cuz he's too busy guarding the White House.

CDC has no Constitutional right to exist

Actually it was the hospital, but don't let the truth get in the way of your usual drive by drivel.

CDC has no Constitutional right to exist

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

I has never been a question of the ability of a president or congress to set up federal agencies, it has been a question of their authority to override State level agencies and elected governments.

Another example of RW hypocrisy.

They whine about TSA and airport security being too invasive but then lie about the job they do.

Apparently, they don't know that ebola cannot be diagnosed until AFTER the victim shows symptoms which happened in the Texasss hospital AFTER the patient was already in the country.

Hawaii dropped the ball too.
Hawaii did drop the ball. They have had to send the blood to the mainland to get it tested. Will take awhile longer to get the results.

Sadly his pick for ss wasn't up to that task.

it wasn't the job of the state of Texas to cancel all visas from West Africa

It wasn't the job of the state of Texas to require all recent visitors from Africa be quarantined for at least 21 days before being allowed to enter the State.

Is there a national alert yet requiring all recent visitors from West Africa undergo quarantine?
