That's the point isn't it? How many deaths do we need to witness before we realize how dangerous the danger is and how little we need it.

Unlimited - the deaths will be random, not important people. The deaths will be far enough apart that one will fall out of the news cycle before the next one happens.

Anyone who gets angry about the unnecessary deaths will be labeled racist, unfeeling, intolerant, and not understanding of the needs of the mentally ill.

As long as providing in community care for dangerous mental patients remains as lucrative source to taxpayer money to unqualified mental health providers, we will have the same issue.
