And reducing the hours of a voting booth a voting booth from 24 hours, doesn't obstruct anybody. I have never had access to a voting booth for 24 hours, and I've been voting since 1968. Nobody needs voting access for 24 hours.

I've been voting 40 years and the hours for the polls have been 7-7, no early voting except for absentee ballots and an application with ID had to be submitted for that. THIS HR1 is the hill to die on because if they ram it through we're done.

Due to the current misbehaving sabatoge of the Texas legislature, they should do away with the quorum rule entirely. It can no longer survive. If Democrats leave, go ahead and vote without them, and without quorum.

I would actually prefer it goes the other way as I stand behind the same concept as the filibuster - the minority should be able to halt the process when they feel strongly about a measure. However, the law in TX actually requires the legislators to attend or be arrested meaning that the quorum rule seems to be nonsensical. Why is there a law that requires legislators to be present and a rule that does not allow business to proceed if they are not? The laws are contradictory.

The need to get rid of one of those laws. If it is the quorum rule then so be it.
