Texas continues its march toward 3rd world status: Day 4 of no power

A hurricane can have 150 mile an hour winds you fucking retard. short of a tornado there is nothing worse.
“Can”

Stronger building codes means less destruction.

You morons don’t like regulations though.

I’m not the one facing extended power outages in inhospitable weather.

That’s the geniuses down in Texas. Thank your state’s incompetent politicians.
lol. You really are dysfunctional. Go tell the conservative California how they are not liberal enough that they have to cut power during the Santa Anna winds. Not because of any problems but because they could have problems. Or how incompetent they are because fires and earthquakes have leveled buildings.
Kid to claim you are an idiot is giving you more credit then you should be given

Fuck you foreign devil. MAGA paradise still has 800,000 without power. How many are going to die?
Using your numbers, 800K are without power and 29.2 million are with power .. 2.6% of the total population after a natural disaster.

LOL OK Mr. Expert, what informed liberal jurisdiction has the model building codes for hurricanes and how does that compare to say Houston's hurricane code?

California has extremely strong building codes to make their buildings withstand earthquakes.

I guess that’s why the Santa Ana winds weren’t ripping off roofs and throwing them into power lines leaving millions without power for a week.

Well, apparently in Texas your roof flys off when it’s windy.
How do you enforce codes on houses built prior to ... oh .. 2000? You're suggesting that a house built in 1960 needs to have enforcement action to get it up to 2024 standards?

He doesn't know shit about building codes. Like usual, he's barking out of his ass.

How does California enforce building codes for houses and commercial buildings built in the 19th and 20th centuries?

Does Texas even have standards?

Does Texas even have standards?
No. Texas has no standards or codes regarding building a structure, installing electricity, utilities, or plumbing. So tell us genius, how do you enforce codes on older structures? Are we going to have the government have punitive damages for not complying?

(sarcasm).
